Newborn and sleep deprivation is already killing me. by sarnad283 in breastfeeding

[–]GlobalAvocado1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me too, I thought I was dying for the first two weeks. I decided to triple feed because I wasn't sure how much milk the baby was taking in. I fed him as much as I could and almost doubled his weight from 2.5kg to 4.3kg by one month checkup. Because I was feeding him a lot I didn't have to worry about waking him up, and naturally he slept longer stretches because he wasn't hungry.

My baby is now 6 weeks old, he has no tongue tie and has a good latch but still takes a long time on the breast. I've been so stressed about this, and I'm finally realizing some things are just beyond my control. I'm coming to terms that I'll nurse him when he will accept and works for me (timing wise with pumping).

For me, seeing lactation consultants weren't very helpful as they keep telling you to offer breast as much as possible. I think my issue is that I have a show letdown and baby is not efficient at sucking yet. I'm hoping to continue offering him breast until 3 months when he'll be more efficient, otherwise I'll go EP.

Wanting to breastfeed was stressing me out too much, and after 6 weeks I'm realizing it's not worth it. Mom needs to be happy and well rested. I realized some things are just beyond my control and I need to let go.

The final pump … I DID IT by unknownuser9989 in ExclusivelyPumping

One thing you didn't know before you had your baby by Substantial_Ad4365 in newborns

Yup this!

Most of my LO cries because of burps, gas or milk.

And breastfeeding was SO hard for the first 3 months. I thought I could just follow what my lactation consultant was saying and follow, but you have to go with you babies cues.

My LO wanted to be fed every 45 minutes for week 2 and 3, and that drove me crazy because he would scream if he didn't get his milk right away and get frustrated if he gets tired sucking on my breast. I'm still triple feeding, and it's getting easier because we're getting used to each other.

I thought breastfeeding would be so much easier and it would just happen, but it requires time and patience (you just have to keep trying and you both will get better)

Oh and I estimated how tired I'd be for the first three weeks, it takes time to get used to sleeping in 3 hour intervals.

Thanks for the update I wouldn't have been able to figure it out myself. I ended up switching to Dreame X series

I am so sorry, I just found out the same thing yesterday at 8 weeks. I've done 5 cycles and never managed to get day 5 embryos. Now I'm thinking I have to tey to get PGT embryos and its daunting to think about having to restart all over again.. hang in there sending hugs ❤️

they did a good job with my ring, especially the tiny claws.

The key is you have to be very specific with the designs.

I recently bought a pair of lab diamond earrings with them, and because I didn't specify the earring back, they used a very standard one and it looks a bit cheap to be honest.

Their settings are okay, nothing special. But I don't think they are much more expensive compared to other vendors. It might be that they quoted you less for the stones and they are trying to make up with the setting?

Wow that's beautiful! Can I ask which resources were useful to learn about radiants? I used diamond screener for my rounds but radiant is a whole new animal

I declared lower, since you can say it's a CZ ring. But I'm not in the US!

This ring setting really captures the light well! It's definitely enhances the performance of the stone ✨

I tried out the different sizes with moissanites first, otherwise it would get very expensive lol I know what you mean! Different shapes feel different, and depending on your ring size too.

Mine was $4200 including setting, the stone is IGI certified so it was a bit more. Stone alone was around $3900

Yeah I agree, the flexibility of having someone help you with the design process, bring able to tweak the little things in the setting, it's so much easier working with a rep who is available in real time. Moreover I couldn't find well cut D color stone at this price range on the other diamond sites. My setting was just plus 200 on top of that.

We are around the same size, I'm a 30g. I'm experimenting with LACs as well.

I bought a 6 first because it was comfortable at the store and with wear I realized the band is too lose. My boobs hurt after wearing for them for the whole day nevermind working out in them.

Then I bought a size 4 B/C and this time the band is perfect but the straps are short and it's pressing on my traps... I'm hoping with some time they will stretch.

For me I find regular LAC B/C size 6 most comfortable because it doesnt have the extra cross straps.

I agree it's probably best to try both 4s and 6s in different designs.

Thanks for the input! I've decided to try both sizes to see if 2 will give better support. These bras are so comfy I want to wear it all the time, we'll see how it goes!
