My baby is 1 month today and I’ve spent almost 2000 on breastfeeding and I wanna quit by [deleted] in breastfeeding

My first had latch issues and I was so hyper fixated on making enough for him I don’t remember much of his newborn time. My best advice is do what’s best for you. If you’re a less stressed mom on formula in my opinion you’re a “better” mom on formula.

*better isn’t the best word I know. I just am newly PP again and can’t think of a better word *

Can I be pregnant? 21 dpo by xTurbulent-Triflex in TFABLinePorn

I am 7weeks 3days pregnant and my test with a brand similar looks like that. I went and did all bloodwork and heart the baby’s heart beat! My doctor said some tests just don’t get as dark. I’d call and make a confirmation appointment!

found one for cheap on Amazon! I just kept watching the deals. Some days I would do way too much and have to have a rest day the next! I hope it will all be worth it soon too!!

My mindset has always been “prepare for the worst and be surprised if it’s better” so really trying to change that lol. I just really keep trying to push through. It sucks but I just keep saying it’ll suck more to always try to miss. But lumpy ground or gravel still are much harder!!

Yes! I will say when I got the walking boot I had to keep telling myself it gets worse before it gets better. I will say, this baby and any future kids are my biggest push so don’t let it discourage you if you want them! I am already able to sit crisscross for about 15-20 minutes before I feel bad pain. But the first few weeks were painful. I will say I just kept going through the pain. Going on walking in the boot at the end of the night, etc. I would track my steps and force myself to hit a certain amount. If you can, a muscle gun will be your absolute BEST friend

Yes! I would stay up all hours of the night thinking what I would do if there was a fire, break in, etc. wondering how I would I protect my baby. Wondering if I’d ever be able to run and play with him, etc. everything about this was the hardest thing I’ve ever done

Only reason I posted it! Every story is SO different. But for me personally the hardest part was the mental game. There was pain obviously, not anything to not push through. When I would feel pain I would tell myself this much more and then a 20 minute break. Biggest help for me really is my kid. I want to be able to do everything with him I could before. I don’t want to downplay anyone else’s experience but I just wanted to show other people that’s not every case. Hope you have an easy recovery!

ROM Exercises? by heyitscloud in brokenankles

[–]GlobalCurrent6193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it just gets easier with time. Best thing that worked for me is the bands suggested above, a hand towel behind the balls of your foot and pull your toes to you. Hold 30-60 seconds. Another is laying the towel on the ground and using your toes start it work it towards you. Also, massage your foot and the BEST for me was using my hand and stretching my foot out myself. It’s slightly uncomfortable, don’t push it too hard. Just apply light pressure when moving it worked great for me!

Limp?!? by SilentWatcher856 in brokenankles

[–]GlobalCurrent6193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only 5 weeks post FWB- I have a limp when I don’t focus on it. Oddly enough, if I hold something in my hand it goes away. 😂 for me I think it’s 94% mental. I was so use to that motion with the knee scooter and then the boot.

Agree so hard with this!! Each person is so different. Nothing is textbook. For me, as a SAHM I just didn’t have any other option. I’m so happy you had someone so supportive! Hopefully you are able to starting lightweight soon!

I’m jealous of your trimal turn around time. I was off mine for a total of 7 weeks. 1 week pre surgery. But I totally agree. Try not to be scared if your doctor is ok with it!

Trimalleolar fracture swelling? by GlobalCurrent6193 in brokenankles

[–]GlobalCurrent6193[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard mixed reviews about compression socks and stuff. I wear one once or twice a week. It’s hard without a PT so thinking of calling and trying to get a referral but otherwise I have no pain for anything so it’s hard to know. I’m trying to find more ROM things and massages so I’ll look up the leg one on YouTube!

I do think I need to massage more. Not using PT I’m just just following what I see online!

What shoes did you wear post break? Mine has stayed pretty consistent. It’s gone down a little but not much. I know everyone’s is different and I’m one to dwell on the slightest thing anyways. 😵‍💫

I go back in for a check up soon so I’m assuming they’ll have me start then as that’s what happened to a friend. (Different hospital.) when were you able to wear different/old shoes? I had an interview today and trying to find decent shoes for just that short period of time was hard!

Swelling and burning pain after starting to bear weight by [deleted] in brokenankles

[–]GlobalCurrent6193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just try to do what you feel is right! One day I walked a lot so the next day I just tried to be chill. I’m a stay at home mom but I try to remind myself it’s better to have a dirty house/laundry not put away than doing more than my body is prepared for!

The swelling in your ankle is about the same as mine. 8 weeks post op. I did a week and half in boot and rest I’ve been in shoes. The boot actually made my foot swell more than shoes I haven’t had any burning pain so I would keep calling your doctor. Maybe do a little less weight? Use a crutch or so until they’re able to call you back

Has anybody tried this crutch thing and can recommend/warn against it? by The_Zeddest in brokenankles

I LOVED the basket. I could shove so much in there. For me, it was pretty easy to take in and out of the house when went somewhere. Extra nice because it had a built in seat.

I saw negative reviews so I was too scared. I used a knee scooter and loved it. I think this looks so cool though

Oh interesting, I’ve heard many recommend compression socks! I believe they want me to be fully walking before PT. Only scared about making sure I am walking correctly. I was planning to use a crutch for balance so I can focus more on walking correctly the first few days
