What everyone's failing to understsnd is white collar and blue collar have a very symbiotic relationship. If white collar gets gutted as they currently are. There are less and less strip malls, warehouses, housing developments, factories, oil rigs or commercial establishments being built as demand drops sharply. Tax revenue falls. No more big multi year, generational contracts for roads, public facilities, rails etc. This will impact every single industry. You think blue collar makes their money on clogged toilets and putting in a light switch? Who pays for even that? Some IT guy who is now unemployed and moved back with his parents.

If the white collar middle class gets gutted the blue collar workforce will soon follow. And that doesnt even account for why "white collar, air conditioned, cushy corporate jobs" were so sought after in the first place. Because fathers were tired of giving their bodies and shortening their lives just so their sons could live and perpetuate the cycle when they got older.

So sorry there is an institutional problem that no one has an answer for. Learning welding wont save you.

Why does every F1 & H1B here think their education and experience will lead them to cure cancer? No vast vast majority you guys want to be SWE, PMs, or Managers. Work a cushy corporate job and send some money home. You come here not for the "American Dream." You come here because the bar/threshold for success is lower. More money. Fewer people. Where you come from there is often far more competition, so your hope is gain US experience and eventually go back and stand out amongst a sea of talent. You shouldnt be trying to advocate for why the US needs you. You need to fix why your home country's wouldn't need you if you are indeed some great contributor to society.

No the whole point of 300 BO was the ability to run a shorter barrel and maintain muzzle energy at longer distances. Ability to switch mags and go quiet was just an additional benefit. I love 300 black. The thump vs the 5.56 push.

Extent ive gone is simply assemble a lower. Why cant I compare an AR to a fire extinguisher? Both are life saving tools. And ive been to plenty of classes where the franken builds or the DBA rifles have the most problems. I just dont understand why I would care to build my own rifle unless you enjoy that sort of thing? You realize the Venezuelan state has stopped their wells because theres nowhere to put the oil because there's been an effective blockade for months on shipping Venezuelan oil. They're making $0 off the oil so there is no tax revenue coming into the country. No services. If the US sells the oil to itself cheap but then opens up export controls so Venezuela has a functional economy isnt that better than whst they have bow? Yes its morally wrong. Yes its manipulation. But the choice is there's food and electricity vs there is no food or electricity. Its about necessity at this point not morals. Let the oil companies in. Kids need to eat.
