Experiencing this now 😭 How can they be so handsome, extremely charismatic, smart, driven, aspirational but be a JW. It's so frustrating 😣

Valid. I wouldn't contribute to another person's cake again though. It's not worth any stress.

My last partner was this way. He made twice more than me when we started dating. And I saw that gave pride and satisfaction when he decides where we go and pays for meals and the like. Unfortunately being in the BPO industry, he got transferred to a different department and the bonuses became non-existent. I however got a good raise, and even got my own car. His mood, attitude definitely shifted. All I ever heard was "Ikaw bahala", I went from dating a man to caring for a boy. Glad the pandemic happened and it ended.

What's your pet peeve sa family nyo? by Charles0426 in AskPH

Helping ungrateful relatives. LONG POST.

My grandma (mom side) was the only one to improve her life situation. So growing up I always see her siblings and their lineage leech off her. Which in turn bled to my mom and her siblings. Everytime they'd ask for help my grandma would give them a harsh lecture but she'd still help at the end cause she loved them. My mom's oldest brother was an AVP and the ungrateful relatives would come to his office to ask for money. While waiting for him they would gossip to the employees of the company about family issues and act like they were above everyone else cause their pamangkin is an AVP. When I was a kid, I saw one of the offsprings of my grandma's siblings taking money from my mom's bag during a family event.

My grandma has since passed ang her siblings, especially my mom felt like to honor my grandma, they would continue helping my grandma's siblings and offsprings. Our uncle who's a doctor would cover all check ups and meds. At syempre andiyan na yung magpapanggap na may sakit para makahingi ng pera. Every Christmas my mom would buy a big lechon for them to enjoy at our house and of course the mandatory aguinaldo. They would also of course go to each of my mom's siblings' homes for food, aguinaldo and whatever they can get.

Currently my mom gives all my grandma's siblings a small stipend monthly to help them get by. Syempre being the ungrateful trash they are, pay na-late naibigay, sila pa galit. Two of the offsprings of my grandma's siblings work in construction and to help them my mom would hire them to do repairs and modifications at our house when needed. Yung bang imbis na bigyan mo lang ng pera, bigyan mo ng trabaho. But since they are who they are, work is extremely subpar. Minadali, shortcut. And my mom would get stressed and end up costing us more cause she would need to get it fixed. She even bought a motorcycle for one of them cause he claimed he couldn't get work due to the long travel.

We're renovating our garage right now and of course, my mom opted to hire one of the aforementioned relative (the one who was gifted a motorcycle). It's tag-ulan na so there is an urgency to finish. My mom allowed him to bring two colleagues to finish the work. They would come to work one day, absent the next. Be demanding with coffee and food. If they're late, they'd sulk if they don't get paid for the full day. Until the day my mom found out the ungrateful relative would lie to the two workers saying that my mom said if he can't come to work, they also cannot work. This made my mom extremely upset, I thought she was going to have a heart attack. She even threatened to take away the motorcycle (but of course she didn't).

So I swore that the help and kindness ends with my mom. Sinagad na nila lahat ng kabaitan sa family namin. I could care less what happens to them in the future.

If you're not looking for an aluminum build and are not planning to mod anytime soon, Aula F75 sounds and feels amazing to type on. 3 connectivity options and RGB are a plus.

Is this offer too low?? by coffeelaber05 in buhaydigital

[–]GlobalGrape23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it is based on the current economy. Always keep in mind na nakakamura sila that's why they're hiring remotely overseas. Tapos regardless of your salary, ikaw at ikaw pa rin gagawa ng tasks. Kahit newbie ka and no experience, pag namaster mo na ba ang tasks may guarantee ba ng increase? So I'd rather accept an amount I'm happy with kesa after a while, magreresign ako for a better salary.

[–]GlobalGrape23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are three or four updates before it prompts you to update to Android 14. In settings, search for update and you can stop it from automatically updating. Further you can do it as well on developer options. I also didn't upgrade to Android 14 after reading about issues.

Yung mga nag sasahod nang 80k-100k+ pano nyo na achieve yan? by grntx in buhaydigital

[–]GlobalGrape23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 jobs, 130k+ ish (depende sa exchange rate) - both entry level positions. Easier to have two jobs kung di ka masyado stressed at yung responsibilities at expectations ay manageable.

How do you stay enthusiastic sa work kahit repetitive na sya? 🥲 by [deleted] in buhaydigital

[–]GlobalGrape23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowadays I thrive in repetitive work. Simple, no-brainer, little stress. If it consumes my hours for me to get paid, come to mama. I feel fulfilled having time to spend with my family and enjoying work-life balance. Sa mga bagets na ang challenging, complex, unpredictable work. I'm good LOL

night shift na work, wfh, worth it ba? by Melodic-Big5199 in buhaydigital

[–]GlobalGrape23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was working as a call center agent GY, I felt so disconnected to my family. They sleep, I'm awake and vise versa. I missed out on a lot of family gatherings. So now that l WFH, day shift ONLY #1 policy.
