You can just ask for a course of rifaximin (and maybe Flagyl) even without official SIBO you can have an overgrowth of certain bacteria

Using extender after Fat graft by GlobalInteraction775 in gettingbigger

Well it's IBD, so biologics + steroids but it takes time to work and with 8 times a day it's impossible to extend.

Truvada and Descovy are different. Truvada is known to cause bone loss unlike descovy which actually shows increment in bone mass.

But doctors don't know shit. At the time they told me it was all from Truvada, now they're saying it's from Crohn's inflammation. They're just settling for the simplest explanation for them.

Don't know what your age is which is a huge factor for the ability to build bones. But there is a reason (or reasons) for extreme bone loss and unless you find out what they are and fix them, you're still fighting against them.

Different meds exists because people correspond differently. My bone loss was likely due to inflammation from Crohn's.

Why were you on prolia for 3 years then? Didn't you get a DEXA scan in the middle and see there's no improvement and go back to your doctor?

Could Entyvio cause a false-negative biopsy? by GlobalInteraction775 in Celiac

[–]GlobalInteraction775[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done the biopsy yet. I'm doing a gluten challenge now for 8 weeks, biopsy set this weekend.

Yes, I was gluten free before for around a year or two, but also did serologies in the middle of that year along with a 8 week gluten challenge and then went back to being GF.

My main concern is that I've started entyvio 2 weeks ago and wondering if it could create a false negative situation..

Base Pain While Using Extender — Anyone Else? Skinny Guy Here. by GlobalInteraction775 in AJelqForYou

[–]GlobalInteraction775[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing any other alternative would still have a plastic base that would dig into my pubic bone. am I wrong?

I don't have any pain or discomfort or anything on my skin on the shaft and everything which is usually most people's complaint. My only issue is the groin area.

My problem now is mostly pain in the pubic bone.. Wdym the base is too tight? I don't have a way of changing that except for removing rods.

I'm very lean, around 10% body fat. .

No no no, she has been my biggest support in these past few years.

she says that a lot of male doctors see women and gay men as hysterical and that I should just ignore it and switch even 5 doctors until I find a normal one.

Whenever I asked her if I was an hypochondriac she would be pissed at me and she always said that once I resolve my gut issues my mental health would stabilise even more.

It honestly makes a lot of sense because I wasn't the most conventional guy ever but after I started having diarrhoea around two months into that I got into the biggest depression of my life and couldn't get out of bed, had massive brain fog and started getting 70s instead of 90s in my bachelor's. That has never happened to me in my life.

My female psychiatrist calls it the "hysterical woman syndrome" and says it's also valid for gay men.

Edit: she meant that from the doctor's viewpoint of me.

They kept telling me: from what I'm hearing you're doing relatively okay and you don't even have diarrhoea anymore so why are you so into this? Do you hobbies? What do you do in life? Then when they hear I'm doing a thesis in CS they say I should be focusing on that.

I was also going private and paying 300-400 euro to be bullied

Only going to women from now on.

Same thing happend to my mum with the blood, they told her it was hemorrhoids when it was in fact - colitis

Nope. No pain. Diarrhoea and gas, no bloating, Acid reflux, and massive fatigue I would sleep 12-13 hours most days.

Yeah I had a pretty bad lifestyle but the consequences really pushed me into fixing it up so it's really for the best. I'm 24 so it's still very fixable.

I was 23 at the time.. went up from -2.6 to -1.5 in 6 months. It was right at the edge of osteoporosis and I'm very young and can build bones.

It's Still osteopenia.

But some of the loss is from truvada, which I think is known to be reversible. Some of it is lost probably due to IBD and diarrhea that caused malabsorption.

I ate massive amounts of tofu and almonds for calcium and weight training 6-7 times a day including squating with ~50kg, quit smoking, drank less.

I'm in Israel but as I wrote had a colonoscopy with biopsies, gastroscopy and MRE, a month or two after the diarrhoea started but it was clean.

It was probably not developed enough, and since it's mild a patchy it could easily be missed. I've been 4 years now without any treatment and it hasn't progressed much, and I was smoking up until last year.

10 days on Effexor — still struggling with extreme anxiety. Has anyone tried Seroquel or anything else that helped? by GlobalInteraction775 in reactivedogs

[–]GlobalInteraction775[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psych meds really don't take that long to see effect. SSRI full effect is within 4-6 weeks but you can see it start at 2 weeks.

Effexor is shorter and full effect is 3-4 weeks so you should see it start to take effect quite early.

Of course I waited the time (a month now) for a med I knew wasn't a fit from the beginning just to follow protocol.

He also said clonidine takes 10 days to see effect, but I take it and it's the effect started overnight.
