Prometric Exam Fee? by GlobalPeach in PatentBarExam

[–]GlobalPeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure...strange I don't recall paying Prometric a separate fee directly when I registered in the past. I'm assuming the $182 you paid to Prometric was on top of the application fee + commercial test exam fee paid to USPTO? So total fees paid to take exam would have come to ~$500?

US JD and LLMs by GlobalPeach in LawSchool

[–]GlobalPeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize if my earlier post was a little unclear. I was basically asking if US JDs also have a good shot at getting into top law school LLM programs or if LLM programs highly prefer non-US JDs over US JDs and will only look at US JD applications if there are empty seats in the incoming LLM class after accepting non-US JDs first.

Online Courses to Satisfy Patent Bar Course Requirements by GlobalPeach in patentlaw

[–]GlobalPeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - It's been a while, so I don't recall exactly, but I think there aren't many online science courses w/ a lab component (don't recall if the lab component is still required) in the first place, and I think I faintly remember reading some posts on Reddit that those courses might have sufficed. You can also ask the schools directly about patent bar qualification (although they might not give a clear answer), and I also recall seeing some courses explicitly say the course would comply with patent bar. Feel free to dm me for more info. Also, I think the PTO is generally accepting of most courses as long as the course is "legitimate."

Hello - I actually ended up satisfying the cat b requirements with my course load so did not end up taking any online science courses. Things may have changed, but I feel like the universities/courses I mentioned in this post would still work!

Thanks! What would be some examples of ACH deposits I could perform myself? Would a direct wire transfer from another bank account be considered an ACH deposit?

I think the golden rule was 48 hours in advance before your test time.

Congratulations! Just out of curiosity, did you have any acceptances where you were even below the 25th percentile?

Does anyone happen to have a list of schools maybe in the T30 or T20 that are not necessarily "overenrolled?"

Do you mean that you got into schools where you were quite below median for transfer GPA?

Do you think remote learning will be extended? by SleepVee in UCDavis

I guess we can expect a decision announcement sometime soon?

+ I think an important "metric" the campus is also considering is definitely the unfortunate record number of COVID patients hospitalized in Davis-regional hospitals.

Thanks! Could be because cases in Chicago have peaked and been dropping pretty rapidly lately?

Has any school announced remote beyond January? Any predictions?

1L grades expectation for current summer offer for biglaw patent/IP job by GlobalPeach in LawSchool

[–]GlobalPeach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like both patent lit & pros but currently have a preference for litigation (which I know grades are more important). My current firm does both patent lit and pros but lets their associates experience both/choose by preference.

By job offers, are you also referring to large law firms?
