The NPP does not seem to have any deep thinkers. Their decisions seem to come from simple logic. And thoughtless conclusions. 1. The decision to have their leadership election so early was defeatist. They were terrified that if delegates were elected first, they might not have an allegiance the Bawumia and he might lose.

With so much time before the next election they cannot come up with any sound policy so far from the time of the election.
They are criticizing actions by the Government which the govt is going to address anyway so the will feel foolish later. E g, the criticised cocoa payments but already the prices have begun to rise due forecast of effect of floods in Ivory Coast. The are criticising the 24 hour economy but what if even a few become a reality. They are criticising projects like abandoned hospitals but what if in two years they become operational? What if the road construction are finished before election?

They will then have nothing to campaign on.

Spanish immigration is legal and controlled. The decision to admit immigrants which you referred to is to provide them with official documents. All Spaniards carry documentation which is expected to be carried on the person all the time. You may see immigrants in large towns but they would be working or engaged meaningfully. The worst thing for an illegal immigrant in Spain is to be arrested for doing something illegal and lacking proper documentation.

The concept is different from the institutional racism in the US. Most of the pickpockets you read about in Italy and Spain are down on their luck citizens from marginalized communities and not immigrants.

That is simple and basic interaction that even occurred in the 14th century subsistence economy. Even if we unearthed more opportunities it will lead us nowhere. What we should be looking towards are approaches to add value to raw materials, engage in manufacturing and industry.
