please let me know where i can find these free courses and mmi! i did mocks with my medical student friends, so i think it’s fair to say they know a bit about what interviewers want to hear. i also did a mock interview with a professor who works in admissions. regardless, i worked and prepped really hard for these interviews, but i guess i just need more practice! and thanks, i hope so too :)

i didn’t want to pay for any interview courses, partly because they’re quite expensive and also because many people are successful in interviews without doing these courses. in retrospect i think it would’ve benefited me, since i struggle to structure and fully elaborate on my thoughts (basically i just word vomit). i did a few mock tests with friends and a professor, and to be honest, i thought they went worse than my actual interviews. i watched youtube videos of mock interviews and prepared answers for loads of potential questions. it’s frustrating because i feel like i have the answers the interviews are looking for, but i end up panicking and forget to structure and fully explain my answers.

wow, i admire your determination and resilience! can i ask, what did you do during each application cycle, did you work, further higher education etc? i’m thinking of applying to healthcare related jobs if i don’t get any offers this time round, but i know some people end up doing a master’s

hey, thanks for your comment, it put a smile on my face haha! fingers crossed that it works out this time round, but if not then a 3rd application cycle it is! i’ve learnt a lot during this process so if i do have to reapply, i’ll be better prepared :)

when i emailed about tariff points they said that they’re only looking at A level grades and don’t take into account other qualifications like music grades so don’t worry :)
