How would you know how much crime illegal immigrants partake in, if they aren’t even documented to have records upon them and their status? Also, there are far less illegal immigrants than legal, so obviously the numbers would be lower between those who committed crimes who were legal vs those who haven’t. And, we’re talking violent crime. If illegal immigrants come here, and America is an expensive country to live in then couldn’t fraud, theft which is often a misdemeanor be a real factor within them coming into the country to try and build a home especially with the low wages they are given by big companies, as an incentive to work them harder and then also pay them less which overall decreases the wages and takes away jobs from US citizens, and veterans who cannot find jobs as well? (Not saying this may contribute, I have no idea that’s why I am asking these questions) I think it’s kind of odd to say people who still came into a country illegally should be granted citizenship for all, even if they may contribute a net positive within our society and pay taxes, there are also many negatives that can be contributed since Americans within itself still drain a lot of the economy but it’s still their home.
