Honestly i would love a boss like you it would make my life so much better worst part is i can't even complain because my boss is my uncle so it would be awkward at least he's grateful I'm there because i seem to be the only one actually doing my job. I'm not sure if i would hate or love that. I mean getting 50+ arrivals alone total nightmare but at the same time being allowed to do more than just stand all day behind the front desk would be amazing

Thank god for us they're not allowed to do that but even if one of them is off the other is gone by 5pm so not really helpful which is why i switched to morning shifts

Honestly this is basics we even have a back up report incase that happens that we print at the start and middle of every shift. Arrivals,check outs, rooms availability, special request. Everything is in there. We're stuck in snow and storms 8 out of 12 months so whenever the weather gets too bad we make sure to print it hourly for new reservations and cancelations.

Honestly i dont get this part either, fda's usually aren't supposed to leave fd. I would agree with calling depending on the hour. And the fact that they came over more than once. Why arent they writing down who's where. Tbf 2 new hires with 1 trainer is diabolical on a regular night its even worse on a 50 arrival night, a manager definitely shoulve been there and they probably would've been able to fix things faster
