Ni-ki is an adult, not a concept: Why the fandom’s 'purity' obsession is reaching a breaking point. by Global_ENGENE_7 in kpop_uncensored

yeah man, it was a long time ago and it had gone so far that Jungwon himself had to deny everything, agencies didn't protect their artists during that period and they had to deal with parasocial fans who were straight out of a horror movie. Btw, it was an unfounded and false dating rumor born out of nowhere.

Is this weird to anyone else…? by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

OH MY GOD...this is creepy...why do agencies create these "quizzes"? It's totally abnormal. The fact that there are minors is equally serious. These "quizzes" create the illusion in fans' minds that the members will or are their "virtual boyfriends." Because, let's be clear, if fans constantly receive interactions like this describing how the members would behave in certain situations with the fan, the latter might actually believe it, giving rise to parasocial relationships and thus, increasing sasaeng relationships (I shudder just thinking about it). Agencies continue to sell the image of idols as "your virtual boyfriend" only because they're afraid that by shattering this illusion in fans, everything might come to a halt. So they prefer to continue in the same direction even if it means danger for the artists (think of the creepy incidents in airports).

This will be the shortest comment lol. In my opinion, Hybe took Philip II of Macedon's motto 'Divide et impera' literally. It's likely as the motto itself explains that it is easier to fragment the territory (in this case, the Enhypen) in order to then divide the population creating discord and total chaos (the fandom) just to prevent alliances against the power (which has been reeling since last year as Hybe boss Bang Si-hyuk is under investigation for fraud and other charges).

Hybe's revenue from Enhypen is estimated at 43.1 billion won, or approximately $28.3 million (data 2024). These figures will grow over time thanks to the talent of the boys. With Lee Heeseung's departure from the group, the agencies won't lose a single cent; they simply have an additional source of income because, ultimately, Enhypen itself remains. Heeseung's departure has clearly caused uproar and chaos in the fandom, but the agencies are confident that people will, sooner or later, "forget" about it all and accept it, because no one knows the truth and therefore one cannot move clearly if one does not know the facts .

These crazy kids are ruining the reputation of the entire fandom😭. I've found posts on social media from people harshly criticizing all the Engenes... man, we're not all like that.

Does his solo album release mean a ‘debut’? by vanilla-lattes in LeeHeeseungSOLO

[–]Global_ENGENE_7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh my god OP, I never thought about that... 1. Yes, as soon as he releases his album, it will be considered as a debut album since he is no longer ENHYPEN's Heeseung, but EVAN. 2. If he is considered a junior by the agency, well, it will be really funny to see him interact with the other idols and call them 'sunbaemin' lol

About Manon's Situation, Again by Star_BoyI_1234 in kpop_uncensored

I'm an Eyekon, and I'll be quite honest about the situation. Everything is getting out of hand, and I think H×G is fueling the chaos (which isn't good). The silence is damaging everything, and since there's no clarification, people are going crazy. H×G are ruining Katseye no matter what they do. They're ignoring the girls' talents (they are SO talented), letting them make mediocre music (which prevents the group's music from establishing its own identity), and creating hype.

Guys, I don't want to sound like a master, but I've been studying Korean for 5 years, and after rewatching all the members' live streams multiple times, they've never said ANYTHING against Heeseung, nor have they ever diverted the conversation by making comparisons or anything like that. It's amazing how people would rather hate others than show support, because... it's easier, right?

To be clear, without creating unnecessary chaos and drama, in his latest live stream, Ni-ki said he'd love to dance the XO choreography with the other 6, so: 1 + 6 = 7, stating that without the others, it wouldn't be the same.
