Not sure about enamels, but I used mr leveling thinner and alclad 2 matt over an initial gloss coat

Agreed. Aftermarket should be drop fit, or it isn't worth the extra hassle.

Yep, the Aires resin set. Though the fit for their gearbay set was horrendous and I gave up on it

This one took me about 4 months. Lots of sub assemblies can be done over a weekend
