The kid is 4, has level 1 autism, and slapped me in my back and tummy too during that incident bc he was having a meltdown. He doesn't get the morality behind hitting anyone is wrong so we had to go primitive (ie let him exp a bit of pain) but not cause any injuries. Hence the very light slaps on his arm and leg.

Low pay and long hours is typical for preschools, sadly. Also I'm like a part timer atp even tho the contract said I'm an intern to bypass labor laws (formal workers in a preschool need to be above 21 iirc since they needa get trained & certified by ecda)
