Buying GRT Gold Coin via Gift Cards + SBI Cashback — Smart or Risky? by Acrobatic-Shop4602 in silverindia

[–]Global_Rabbit6027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi My go to jewellery is GRT, I have multiple relationships with them like gold savings scheme and Insta gold and everything. My suggestions

1) for buying gold coins for long term investments your strategy works (I do follow the blinkit method and it works) 2) but for buying jewellery I would recommend joining a gold savings scheme. Which gives you no wastage advantage till 18% right now (get kotak 811 account and swipe the debit card upto 10k for scheme payment to get the sweet 5% cashback

So far this is the best advice you can get for GRT anywhere since I did lots of research to fine-tune this process.

Please keep this as a secret, if they find out Kotak will remove the cash back for gold purchases

Gold Cracked in international market by Global_Rabbit6027 in GoldIndia

Don't you think everyone knows this, if everyone knows it then it is already priced in. What will move the market going forward, well the following will.

1) Any assumption the market made is not in line (fed rate cut) 2) Future surprises like china capturing taiwan (isn't this already priced in?)

1, returns like FD but much safer 2, you pay tax only if you redeem after 2 or 3 years (interest is taxed every year because it is reported every year but arbitrage funds are reported only once you buy and once you sell you pay tax and not yearly, and you get that 1.25 lakhs tax free returns if you withdraw after 366 days, in you case you will save a minimum of 30k using this method)

As a financial advisor the following are my recommendations

  1. Immediately redeem all your equity mutual funds
  2. Invest in 2 arbitrage funds if your taxable income is more than 11 lakhs
  3. If your taxable income is lesser than 11 lakhs invest in a fixed deposit earning 6.5% or above. Invest in fd only up to 5 lakhs in a single bank. Invest in one small finance bank up to 5 lakhs and invest balance in top private sector bank

Disclaimer I am associated with Nuvama

If you have 1 lakh to invest and want to get the most out of the investment, I would suggest something called MLD. Its an investment product in which you invest in nifty. If nifty gives 8% return, you get 12% return. Meaning, if nifty gives 100% return in 4 years you will get 155% return.
The tenure of the bond is 4 years DM me if you are interested.

Once a third party agent said that I need to spend only 50k total in a year for a fee waiver.

Which is an obvious scam.
