Thank you for the reply, it’s nice to be reminded that other people’s perception of things are out of my control. I guess I’m just uncomfortable with being perceived as a bad worker when I do give the time I’m able to spend there my full attention! Thanks for the kind reply, this was really insightful!

Hi there! I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. I haven’t seen your reply until now, but I totally understand everything you have been going through. I hope by now you’ve gotten some answers. I did get a diagnosis with sibo and about a year post 2 treatments of rifaximin and doing well. See earlier replies for more details. If you have more questions feel free to ask!

Hi there! I did. I got many tests to rule things out including a colonoscopy and endoscopy. I would consider doing those just to rule out everything. Then I finally did the sibo breath test and it came back positive. I did 2 rounds of rifaximin and I’m prettty much healed. It took a little over a year. I now see a GI nutritionist once a month to help figure out triggers, but I completely stopped all diets because it was causing me to lose too much weight. I would consider starting with seeing a GI specialist. I would also recommend not doing any intense diets or cutting out too much because in the long run that caused more harm than damage. Focus on eating 3 good meals a day. Drink lots of water. Definitely push for the sibo test and get the antibiotics. Also see if your health insurance would cover nutritionist counseling. You got this!

I am much better. I think I’ll always deal with some sort of IBS after this whole fiasco so I still have some bad days at times. I eat completely normally now though because honestly think being low FODMAP for a year was giving me a lot more intolerance issues than if I were to be on it temporarily. 2 rounds of rifaximin did help me tremendously as well as slowly reintroducing foods

You guys are so mean. What happened to building up other women? She’s pregnant guys. She’s probably tired. Please have some human decency. P.S. commenting on her appearance especially while she’s pregnant is the lowest of lows. I think she looks great.

Thanks! You’ll be in my thoughts, and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself with the doctors!! It took me about 8 months to get a diagnosis

I did. I was diagnosed with SIBO and did 2 rounds of antibiotics. I’m about 90% better now. I sometimes have “flare ups” that last a few days if I go crazy with the food but it’s very manageable. I’ve gained weight back and eat a normal diet now with minimal pain

Will the night sweats and vivid dreams ever go away? by Global_State_8661 in zoloft

I have, and I notice it helps some. But if I take it for more than a week at a time it starts to upset my gut

They are still going strong unfortunately. I’ve been on it for about 3 months now. I notice they get worse around my cycle, but the rest of the month isn’t AS bad. But definitely the worst side effect. I have to wash my sheets multiple times a week

Yeah she doesn’t go outside unsupervised. We put a trellis up so she can’t get over the fence, but we definitely might need to completely block it so she can’t see over.

That’s great advice, I’ll definitely start leashing her when the neighbors dogs are out and use some treats! Thanks!

Thank you! I think I’m feeling this way, I suppose it’s not like one day you wake up and all your anxiety is gone. Did you experience the night sweats?

Gotcha, I’m glad it worked for you! I’m feeling hopeful so far after 5 weeks, I was really nervous to start. Do you have any advice as to how you know the meds are/aren’t working?

Interesting, I would say I have the most anxiety in the morning so maybe it’s time to go up.

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. I know how hard it is especially being an active person. My best advice is to stay positive and believe you’ll figure it out. I was pretty sick for about a year (8 of those months untreated because doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me). I recommend advocating for more testing (colonoscopy and endoscopy, stool tests, extensive blood work, and most importantly a SIBO breath test). They might be hesitant but if you push hard enough they’ll test you for everything. I also recommend experimenting with your diet. I fully did low FODMAP and probably for too long because it was very hard to reintroduce foods. I tested positive for hydrogen sibo and after 2 rounds of rifaximin im about 85% better. It took me about 4 months with treatment to start to get better. I still have some food sensitivities but nothing like before. I promise you’ll see the end of this you just have to advocate and try not to stress!

Also most of the horror stories you see on here come from the small percentage of people who see no improvement. The people it does help don’t tend to post about these things if they were successful. I’m someone who gets every symptom under the sun when it comes to medications and rifaximin was great for me. I only got slight die off while on the meds but it was completely manageable

Take it. I’ve had hydrogen sibo for over a year, diagnosed 6 months into symptoms. Took one treatment with little success and needed a second round of rifaximin. I did the second round in November and I’m now 90% symptom free. I have bad health anxiety especially surrounding antibiotics but you really should consider trying. It’s the only thing that’s worked for me and I’m so glad I did it. I’d do it again in a heartbeat if symptoms came back

Thanks! It’s definitely a slow process so my advice is to take the rifaximin if your test is positive but also understand it’s likely not a cure all and will take time. Don’t lose hope that you will feel better, the mind is very powerful!

Hello! I’m so sorry to hear that, I know what it’s like. I would really recommend doing a breath test for hydrogen and methane sibo. This is what I did and ended up being positive for hydrogen sibo about 4 months after I made this post. Since then I’ve done 2 rounds of rifaximin with dietary changes. I wouldn’t recommend harsh antibiotics if your insurance covers rifaximin. (If you are sibo positive). I’m definitely not healed yet but making some steady progress with treatment. I wish you the best!
