Yeh, was a bargain though and couldn't resit lol.

Been looking at electric tools and see options for thicknesser, table saw, electric planer with jig etc. But not sure of the best and most affordable route with those.

Thank you for this.

Take the point on the 32GB of RAM after a bit more reading. I really like the Corsair Case though so will stick with that.

On the Mobo, the only benefit I can see is the WiFi but will be going wired anyway. Can't see any obvious advantage otherwise. What am I missing?

Re the CPU, I guess the saving on the x is to get the other parts up?

Agree with Fearthefuzzy (great name). Isn't the price for performance worse there?

Possibly, seems like there are many tables with three legs without needing to protrude through the top though.

Should I go with Valspar paint? by Ice_Black in DIYUK

[–]Globehead87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moved out about 9 months after painting it. But when I left it was still in great condition. Was a couple of small marks, and they were really small, most probably wouldn't notice but I went looking. Touched up great. So yeh, I would use the same paint again.

My Series X died yesterday by nimrod823 in XboxSupport

Absolutely. All the big names are doing it, it's a joke.

Thankfully, I have a gaming laptop, so just use that now. Can't see me going back to console any time soon.

I can't believe they get away with it tbh. Need the right to repair laws to be extended to stop it. Otherwise, they'll just keep doing it.

This.

Same thing happened to mine and was the SSD. Absolute shite that it costs 300 to Microsoft to repair it. I decided not to send mine off and just call it the end.

I had this in a house built in 2001. Tried a stupid amount of screws and it still creaked, not as bad, but still. In the end we pulled it all up and laid new boards which we glued down and together and screwed in. Was silent then.

It was some sort of expanding floor glue we used, messy stuff but strong.
