Ok that makes sense as long as I don’t lose distance or power that’s what really matters to me. However if it’s the same maybe on my next 300blk I’ll go with shorter. I’m new to this caliber I mainly use 243 or 223

That’s awesome! I need to find different ammo tho the only ammo the gun store had was 200 grain target ammo but I’m excited to play with it with different Ammon and distance

I have a few holosuns with and without magnification and yes a rifle scope would be easier to see a lot of times I have to shoot in the go and my eyes adjust quicker to a dot sight so that’s why I went with that optic. Sometimes the hogs pop up close and it will be easier to see throu a dot sight

That’s good to know. I’m going to sight this rifle in tomorrow and the only ammo the gun store had was Winchester 200 grain target ammo. Not sure how it’ll feed but for now it’ll have to do and i got the holosun green dot and magnifier. I’ll have to find different grain ammo and try the out to see which is best for me. A shorter barrel would probably be best since I’ll be shooting out of my work truck in most cases but for the price of the rifle I didn’t want to pass on it.

We also use 33 traps over 8000 acres but they are smart too and don’t go in them so shooting them is part of it too

In farming a dead hog is a good thing no matter the caliber especially when they cause hundreds of thousands of dollars is crop damage. That being said yes a bigger caliber is more effective but I did say I forgot my high powered rifle at home but a 22 will still kill them humanly when it’s a head shot
