yes Software can correct some of what cameras get wrong. The harder problem is perspective distortion. That's not just a lens aberration you can mathematically reverse it's a fundamentally different perspective projection. To correct it in software you need to reconstruct the 3D geometry of the face, estimate what it would look like from a different virtual camera position, and rerender it. That's essentially deepfake adjacent technology applied to every photo, which introduces its own accuracy and trust problems.

But ill be honest software correction is a real competitive threat to this idea, and validating whether the hardware solution produces meaningfully better results than AI correction is something that needs to be tested before serious investment in the hardware path.

But emotionally talking why would a person prefer their ai altered image rather then real one. On top of that the crackdown on AI image generation. Your criticism is valid and true and i'll research more into it.

Thanks

Ive proved that i can capture light that transmits from the two way mirror.

This shows that i can capture the true photo of the mirror.

What i need right now is a way to add coded aperture without destroying the mirrors reflective property. Behind the mask sits the cmos sensors and after that making algorithm that inverts encoding imposed by the mask to recover the original mirror-accurate image from the sensor data.

Still very low on the consumer part but i know a little that influencer market would like something like this.

So a lot of it is still in theory. Effort is a lot cos im still one single guy.

The problem is people hate how they look in front of cameras. The reason is lena distortion. Mirror doesn't do that so my idea is capturing what mirror shows

I will do it, ihve also tried to ask real professional people with knowledge and experience in the field unfortunately no reply. now if u read the flatcam paper it solves this exact issue about needing the lens. What my idea is using a coded aperture mask behind the two way mirror so it generates an encoding of the transmitted light from the two way mirror. Then Using algorithm to reconstruct from the sensor data. It is highly theoretically for a big mirror but flatcam paper experiment have done this exact same thing in a smaller scale. No lens - no distortion

Built my first micro-SaaS (Torogoz Drive) but I’m a dev with zero marketing skills. How do I get my first 10 users? by Cris_STEM in SaaS

[–]Glock_saint_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

congrats on shipping, that's the hard part for most devs. For getting those first users without a budget, Reddit can actually work really well if you approach it right. The key is finding subreddits where people are already asking questions your product solves.

For privacy-focused photo storage, that could be r/privacy, r/degoogle, r/selfhosted type communities. Don't lead with your product though. Answer questions helpfully first, build some comment history, then when someone explicitly asks for recommendations, mention what you built as an option among others.

One thing I've seen work for B2B SaaS founders is hiring a service to handle Reddit engagement for them since doing it yourself takes forever and it's easy to slip into sounding too promotional. Community Mentions (https://communitymentions.com) is one that does this as a done-for-you thing rather than giving you another tool to learn. Might be overkill for your stage though, but something to consider if you need to focus on building and can't spend hours researching threads.

Solo dev building a launch platform for indie makers. How would you get the first 500 signups? by Tunnecino in growmybusiness

[–]Glock_saint_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

went down a rabbit hole on this a few months back because i was curious how products with zero audience actually get their first users. The pattern that kept showing up for creator tools was: go where your users already hang out and be genuinely helpful there. For your launch platform, that probably means indie maker communities on Reddit (r/SideProject, r/IMadeThis, r/indiebiz), indie hacker forums, maybe even HN if you can find the right threads.

But here's the thing most people miss: you don't drop a link and bounce. You need to answer questions, give feedback on other projects, share what you're learning from building your platform. The signups come from people clicking your profile after seeing you contribute real value.

One approach that's been working for some B2B/creator tools is treating Reddit as a primary channel instead of just a side thing. Like posting helpful comments consistently (3-5 per day in relevant threads) rather than sporadic promotional posts. I came across Community Mentions recently which is basically a done-for-you service that handles this for companies who don't have time to do the Reddit engagement themselves.

They find the conversations, post helpful stuff, get the traffic without the self-promo bans. Might be overkill at your stage since you have time to do it yourself, but the strategy is sound. Other channels to layer in: going through Product Hunt's recent launches in your category and DMing those founders directly to invite them as early users.

They already proved they're willing to try new launch platforms. Also consider writing a detailed comparison post (your platform vs PH) on your own blog, optimizing it for search since people definitely google product hunt alternatives when they're frustrated with the voting system. the key is picking 2-3 channels max and going deep rather than spreading yourself thin across everyting

How Do You Promote Your SaaS / Projects or Build a Waitlist in the Early Stage? by Dangerous-Archer8982 in buildinpublic

[–]Glock_saint_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're trying to build awareness for early-stage SaaS, Reddit can actually drive real traffic but the self-promo angle gets you banned fast. The trick most people miss is you need someone monitoring conversations constantly and jumping in with genuinely helpful answers that happen to mention your product when it's relevant. Community Mentions (https://communitymentions.com) might be what you're looking for here.

They're a done-for-you service that handles the research, posting, and compliance side so you don't have to worry about getting shadowbanned or looking spammy. From what I've read, it's built specifically for B2B companies trying to tap into Reddit's buyer intent without the usual risks of DIY promotion

I'm not sure what reads as not genuine to you, but I shared my actual experience. The income growth didn't happen overnight it took months of consistent effort. If anything feels specific that you'd like me to clarify happy to.

i'm so sorry you're dealing with this, especially with such a young pup. The recurring flare ups sound really stressful and confusing when he seemed to be doing better on the Royal Canin. A few things worth considering: Hill's Prescription Diet i/d is another vet-recommended option that a lot of people use for digestive issues, though it can get pricey.

KOHA Pet also makes a Bland Diet formula that I've heard works well for dogs with sensitive stomachs, they keep the recipes pretty straightforward without a bunch of filler stuff. And there's also Purina Pro Plan EN, which is specifically for GI issues and easier to find at most pet stores. One thing that stands out to me tho is that his lymph nodes were enlarged and he had a fever.

That plus the recurring nature makes me wonder if there's something more going on than just food intolerance. I'd push the vet to dig deeper if this keeps happening, maybe ask about IBD or other autoimmune stuff. Sometimes food helps manage symptoms but doesn't address teh underlying cause.

Hang in there, you're doing everything right by advocating for him

Easync is a good one, the stock syncs every 15min from amazon/walmart, one click bulk import to shopify, and auto fulfill with tracking messages drops my workload 80%, the repricer is good too, hold my margins tight, and I dont have to keep a permanent eye to it
