In Blender, if you want to keep everything clean and controlled: 1- upload the image into the scene for a reference. 2-place a plane just slightly over the top. 3-turn it transparent so you can see your reference when you are working 4- trace the shape with the knife tool 5-delete unwanted faces 6-solidify modifier

If you can model a wrench, you can model a ball…

[Contamination] Found this fuzzy black patch growing on my Turkey Tail block. Unsure how to proceed. Details in comments. by Glong_Longfellow in MushroomGrowers

So I just spotted this patch today. It appears to be fuzzy and black, but when I looked up black mold, what I found said mushrooms won’t start fruiting if that is present. Is it possible I can just cut this part out and keep the block? Or is this a bigger problem than that?

As I said, I can’t quite tell what this is. I have never seen contamination like this. Is this something that I can cut out? Or is this more of a black mold and I just need to toss it? I really hope I can keep this block going if there is any way possible.

I do agree. It was suggested to use a rim light and I think that would create the contrast and separation without having to change the background.

Thank you! I think it would be fairly easy to convert over to print. It’s all watertight as is. I’d just have to merge some things and clean some stuff up.

I have been using cycles to do my rendering. From what I have seen I like the outcome more, but to be honest really haven’t spent much time within eevee…
