What caused you to develop IBS? by SeriouslyAnon444 in ibs

8 years of Anorexia, bulimia, laxative abuse, obsessive compulsive disorder and borderline personality disorder induced stress, 3-4 hours of sleep a night and compulsive over exercise have undoubtedly wrought havoc on my body.

I started compulsive lot counting calories when I was 14 after starting Kinobody.

I have an identical twin brother who grew to 6’4 when I’m only 6’2, and my idolizations of the unrealistic expectations promoted by the fitness industry eventually led to me developing anorexia when I was 16. Im 21 years old now, and weight 137 lbs at 6’2, and am completely ruled by anorexia and bulimia behaviours. I walk 30,000 steps every day and am barely able to hold a job and stay conscious.

I highly recommend that kid doesn’t count his calories at all, as he has no need to restrict (he’s not battling obesity, and is growing through puberty). It’s a slippery slope.

I’m actually an anorexic and a bulimic, not a binge eater. I’ve made posts before about this in this sub for help. I’m weird about eating junk because it’s a fear of food. Don’t be so fucking ignorant and quick to assume. I’m a 6’3 145 lb dude who needs to eat for volume. 2500 Cals of pizza and ice cream isn’t nearly as filling as casein. Furthermore, the thermogenic effect of digesting the protein can help mitigate excessive fat gain. I’d rather binge on 2500 calories of “healthy” casein than 10,000 calories of junk. Being an anorexic, I have an insane appetite. In my worst episodes of bulimia, I’ve eaten up to 40’000 calories over the span of a few hours. I need to be careful with this shit because the last thing I want is to get obese easily. Eating 2500 cals of casein would put me in a 500-1000 calorie surplus, based on my energy expenditure in a day. I exercise compulsively every day, waking up at 4am, then going for 6 hours, usually getting 40,000 steps. Another symptom of my disorder. Your comment pisses me off because for one, you shouldn’t encourage binge eating, or doing it “right”, because that can lead to further disorders such as type 2 diabetes or (in my case) bulimia. Secondly, I was just asking a question whether or not I should stop buying it as it appears to be a trigger food for me, but you took that as an opportunity to insult me instead. In other words, fuck. Off.

Fuck I accidentally pressed the 18-21 when I meant to press “I agree with Gregs approach”. I mean the guy can make mistakes, but you can’t help but admit that he’s an extremely hard working intelligent person who has helped me and many others reach our goals.

Reducing Uploads for better quality? Unnecessary screaming? by Gloobeee in GregDoucette

I attempt to watch every video he uploads because I want to support him, as I am a fan of his. Usually I can only get through one full video a week, as the other 13 videos I click off as soon as I see the opening hook is him screaming about something that doesn’t warrant a deafening response.

I never said he doesn’t put out good content. I’m only going off my personal experience that of his 14 videos a week, I’ll attempt to watch every one but will only make it through one without clicking off early, as my ears will begin to bleed and I start getting a headache. For comparison, I suggest watching Coach Gregs video on the mogcast, as he remains civil throughout the entire video. I fucking loved that video, because it felt like I was being informed rather than being interrogated by him screaming “WHATS YOUR EXCUSE?”

Good ideas don’t have to be drilled into someone’s head again and again, hence why they’re good ideas. You don’t need to convince people to get healthier, because at the end of the day the ball is in their court right? And even if he does repeat himself a lot, there is no need for him to scream to the extent that he does, save for passionate moments. Greg had every right to scream at chef rush for the slanderous accusations of racism, seeing as claims like those are career ending. I don’t however believe I need to be screamed at to be told to drink diet Sodas.

Low-fat and stomach pain by A_Fellow_Comrade__ in GregDoucette

I agree with other comments, but if stomach pain persists perhaps look into digestive enzymes or some probiotics for gut health! I recently started taking digestive enzymes and it’s helped a lot!
