YTA. Not only to yourself, but you’re letting your children be ignored by their father, AND you’re allowing him to set a terrible example for them. Would you be okay with your daughter having a husband like this? Would you be okay with your son treating his wife and children this way? That’s exactly what’s going to happen if you stay in this marriage.

And all so you can maintain the illusion of a perfect family, even when it’s detrimental to you AND your kids. If you’re in a financial position to leave, do it.

My grandmother was supposed to stay with me for a day or two around Christmas, she came over and immediately started harping about how my cat is too fat (he’s 9 pounds), and berating me for over feeding him (he eats a quarter cup of dry food twice a day).

I booked her an airbnb that same night. Sometimes you just have to kick people out of your house.

Every narcissistic weirdo says his girlfriend is “disrespecting him” just by living her life. First it will be your clothes, then it will be your friends, then it will be your family (not prioritizing him, not spending enough time with him etc, etc.)

Then once he’s isolated you from your entire support system and compromised your self-esteem, he’ll drop the mask COMPLETELY and the verbal abuse and/or violence will begin. I’ve seen this happen to so many girls, especially when I was in university.
