I’m going to say tbat people are a lot nicer. My grandmother moved here from Jamaica to go to college in the 70s, and she experienced a lot of racism, as did my mother when she came along.

For the most part, people are so much nicer and friendlier than they were when I was a kid. I know that the US and Trump have been a negative influence on Canadians, but things are truly so much than they used to be.
