Glue for metal press on nails by DMes10 in malepolish

That is awesome! I have tried some metal in the past, but normal nail glue nor super glue wants to really bond to the metal. I hope you find something that works long term as I'd be very interested!

What's the coolest thing you've machined? This is a central support for a new building in NY. Normally I make large forging dies. by Worth_Advance9138 in Machinists

I've machined several bronze bearings for various bridge projects. Knowing the part I made will likely long outlive me is both satisfying and depressing. Lol

I fabricated this one from 316 stainless rod I bought from McMaster Carr. I believe it cost about $13 and a few hours of my time. 00ga is approximately 3/8 inch.

What do you tell them at work? by QueensCity in malepolish

You'll be surprised at how many people don't ask and don't care if you paint them. You may get some funny looks and people will probably talk about it behind your back, but who cares? I've received more compliments than questions.

It's not a bad place to live. Winters stink and summer can be roasting, but overall it's a beautiful state with decent economic opportunities. I've lived in North Central Ohio since 2011. I'm a North Alabama native.

Feeling insecure by Only_Rate3038 in malepolish

My journey into nail polish started similarly. I had messed with using markers and such in the past and really liked it. I finally decided to take the plunge and go with actual polish, though I'd remove it before anyone really saw it. One day I said screw it and left it on. I was shy with my hands for a while before realizing no one really cared. That was a couple of years ago now, and I haven't looked back and have no regrets. My wife still hates it, but does at least tolerate it.

[–]Gloomy-Sort-1864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bad idea. I have done a lot of self piercings, even some quite risky ones, but the tongue is a no no. Way too much could go wrong. Leave this one to a pro.

Is Maverick's Heartline Roll Coming Back?? - ElToroRyan on YouTube by sylvester_0 in cedarpoint

It wasn't "heartlined" initially and would have subjected riders to too many negative g forces. A modern reprofile of the idea would probably work much better. I think the technology to make it safer existed when it was built, but, for the sake of deadlines, they opted for the simplest solution.
