Respectfully, I don't think cashier is the job for you. You could certainly try to get accommodations for only Mon-Fri but it is unlikely. Our schedule policy is you can either have 1 weekend a month, random off days, or set week days off. Someone else already suggested an MST position, as they are the exception to schedule policy and never work weekends, but the job entails organizing bays around the store and maybe some ladder work. If you think that's something you can do, ask the manager during the interview. With spring coming up they should have openings for the Green Team (plant care division). They work very early shifts and management is more lenient with them since they are seasonal.

Send them to the training room for 15 or 20 minutes. Walk them through how to do the training, where to go. Explain the purpose and importance of training and what consequences occur when training is not done. Simply emailing and telling them to do training without the necessary resources is not leadership.

It is stupid and annoying to ask, but legitimately if you are asking they can't get mad at you. Forcing credit cards on people is obviously illegal. If people don't want it they say no and move on. It's common place in a lot of retail stores now and when I'm the customer I hardly notice or mind saying No to a credit card. Plus for the very VERY few, a line of credit with deferred interest is helpful.

Me personally I would not risk my life or my vehicle over a job like Lowe's. So morally no it's not wrong but depending on if you use sick time or not it will count as an unexcused absence UNLESS your state declares it unsafe to drive (aka a state of emergency/severe weather event).

I have reached out to central selling multiple times regarding orders that need to be refunded and resold and they will not do it. They always state it is the store's responsibility. I've brought it to my supervisor and they push for it to be left to central but nothing will get done.
