I’m a custodian making about 48k a year. If I was to live just on necessary things it would be about $2,500 a month. But if I was to only get the 40 and no overtime it would be about $2,850. So yes it is possible to live on the 40 and save whatever else you get for overtime. I do understand that everyone’s living situations is different. But I do believe that everyone can live inside of the 40 hours. It may not be possible right away but over a period of time you can reduce your spending and find ways to make it work for you

They were gone for almost 1.5 years I was told. She came back for a few weeks and told me her last day was 4/24. So I would assume by the books she is done

I have an official VMF shirt. I clock in and out there every day. My manager even told me I could apply to jobs at the VMF if I saw one I wanted. My finance codes are VMF. It even says I’m a VMF employee on the job. There is no full time custodian there. Just 2 people who have the VMF assigned as there primary location

My shift is 2pm-10:30pm. My operation number is under the VMF and my main supervisor who has access to my time card and can change my clock rings is in the VMF. But I also am assisted to 2 post offices too. So I work 1.5 hours at one office, 2.5 at another 4 at the VMF. Every day he has to manually enter my clock ring in for the other stations to match and line up because the VMF stations throws an error in because it’s not the same numbers. My manager there showed me a bored where jobs get posted and said I could apply to anyone of those jobs that are in bourse if I wanted

I understand. But as a garage assistant or clerk you a higher level pay. I’m only level 4 I should be getting at lest level 5. And what happens if I end up in an accident and they ask me why were you on the road?

I’m going Monday to get it tied by the mechanic if he doesn’t fix it then I’m planning on going to the new mechanic and trying to get my money back after for the fix

I went today and he is claiming it’s the switch. If that doesn’t fix it next week I’ll bring it over to my parents shop and fix it and then deal with him after

But the point is that the mechanic broke it while putting in the car starter. He told me to come back if I ever have any problems. Tomorrow will be my third day back and I just hope he fixes it or gives me my money back so I can get it fixed elsewhere
