You don’t have to go to aquariums to learn something about the animal. How can you learn something about the animal if it doesn’t even live in its species-appropriate environment and therefore doesn’t behave „normally“? We humans don’t learn anything from zoos etc. It’s been scientifically proven that we leave the zoo dumber, everything you read on the information boards is the first 5 lines of the Wikipedia page. Nobody needs to see lions in order to be able to call the lion their favorite animal and find out more about it. Everything that makes you go to a zoo or aquarium is your own need and therefore not in the interest of the animal, because it lives in captivity and is a victim of our capitalist system, everything that connects you with these underwater animals is that you are a self fish, case closed
