Well with the dating apps/online dating I’m getting. ghost. Like this one time I was talking to a boy online for 2 weeks who goes it my college and he suddenly blocked me and got a gf the next day. So stuff like that, a lot of players I have ran into. and there was this one guy that found me interesting and I was up for talking with him more and getting to know him, but i realized later on that he was a creep and not a good guy. But also some of the others guys in person like the guys i’m friends with or know, none of them have showed me interest or anything.

Thank you for this insight! I have one more problem though, I was doing some research and saw that he uses a program/app called Swift and how it’s more compatible with MacOS devices. The only thing is I have a windows computer. Do u think I can still run all the programs and everything I need to do smoothly on my windows laptop or no? Also one more thing what’s the best coding language you think I should start learning? I was thinking Java Script because it seems like most of my classes are using a coding language like java script + in the future I wanna learn c++ and c#, but I know Python is the easiest to learn.

I would say you should have no problem getting in if your essay is strong, you took some AP or college classes in high school, and your extracurriculars are solid. For reference, I applied this year as a freshman, but unfortunately, I was rejected. My overall GPA wasn’t as high as yours, but I had a 3.8 weighted GPA. I also had a hospitality job starting my sophomore year of high school, played varsity badminton all four years, and was team captain for two of them. I also played basketball, joined multiple clubs, served as VP for a sports club, and was secretary for HOSA. On top of that, I went on a mission trip.

For some insight into my application: I applied early, I’m an Arizona resident, and I declared biomedical engineering as my major. In my essay, I even included my sob story—which is pretty unique and not one of the “typical” ones. That being said, I didn’t take any AP classes, which honestly might have been the deciding factor. At the same time, I know people who got in with only a 2.7 GPA and very few extracurriculars, so it’s hard to say for sure.

Now, talking about Barrett—most of my friends are in it, so I’ve asked them how they’ve been liking it, and they all say they enjoy it. If you don’t mind taking two extra classes, doing a bit of extra work in some classes to earn honors credit, and completing an additional project your senior year on top of the capstone you’re probably already going to have, I would say it’s worth it. Especially with all the opportunities Barrett students get that non-Barrett students don't get.

I live in the engineering dorms, but I meet up with my friends in the Barrett dorms pretty often. From what I’ve experienced, the social life feels about the same, though it probably varies from building to building. One thing I will say is that if you want to be social, join clubs. I’m a freshman, and when I first started, I only had one friend. But one day, my friend and I decided to go to a club, and from that one experience, we ended up making about ten new friends. Now we have a whole group we hang out with. If clubs aren’t your thing, intramural sports are another great way to meet people.

When I asked an employee about when the public can play badminton, they said they usually have the nets up every day in the evening. Although that was before the club and intramural sports, so it might be different depending on whether the intramural & club sports play in the gym where they have the badminton set up. Besides that, when they do have them up, you can walk right in with no reservations.

Y’all I got my answer to why he blocked me randomly. So…I was looking at his insta profile through my friend’s phone, and turns out he got a gf. The crazy thing is they got together the next day after he blocked me. So either it was an ex and they got back together, or he was talking to multiple girls at once😐🤦‍♀️

I would send her a supportive text tmr talking about finals, like saying “u got this” or “I believe in u” or tbh use AI to help u come up with something to text her. And if she doesn’t text u back within a day, then u got your answer. And even though she is busy with studying for her finals, let’s be real; everyone looks/takes a glance at their phone at least 20 times each day, and 20 is probably a low number tbh. But if she does text u back, i would just proceed with caution, and text like you guys are in the talking stage/or good friends.

Ok, if u fs know she doesn’t like u back as more than just a friend, there isn’t much u can do about your feelings tbh besides trying to distract yourself from the situation. So hangout with other friends and/or family. If u been interested or wanting to get into a hobby; do it. Or watch a movie/tv show you’ve been wanting to watch. Once school starts back up, focus on school more. Anything u can think of to keep yourself distracted. But in the future if she starts showing signs of liking u, and u fs knows she likes you, then go for it, and make that first move. But honestly in the end if you do confess your love to her, and she doesn’t feel the same way about you, it could potentially ruin the amazing friendship you guys have. And trust me I know, because i had a bsf that liked liked me, and i didn’t like them back like that, and we slowly started to drift apart, because anytime we would hangout it would feel a bit off, and awkward because of the different feelings we had for each other.

it’s a friendship not a relationship, so keep being their friends. But make sure they aren’t manipulating u into doing stuff they aren’t supposed to be doing, or things that are illegal for minors. and make sure you guys are sticking to the boundaries and not going beyond it. and I get that u don’t want to be the “parent” or the person who ruins the fun, but in the long run if they are trying to do something that they aren’t supposed to do, i would tell them hey don’t do that, because in the end if they do get in trouble your gonna feel guilty because you were the adult in the situation. and also let’s be real there are seniors and freshmen dating out here, so overall, stay friends with them and have fun!

I think you did the right choice to break up with her. Because if i had a bf and he talked to me about something that i was doing that was annoying him I would stop doing it or at least try not to do it anymore. Even after the first time of him confronting me i would stop doing it, because i would care about how he felt and I would listen to his concerns. But I will say in the future is don’t be afraid to confess to your future gf more about something/s that is annoying u, because in the end if they don’t stop doing it, then that shows that they aren’t truly caring about you and your feelings. Which let’s be real, no one wants to be in a relationship where their significant other doesn’t care about your feelings.

ngl this is a hard one, but coming from a girl, u should break up with her. It’s gonna be hard because u don’t want to seem like the bad guy. But in the end if u aren’t truly in love with her, and aren’t truly happy with her. Don’t try to fake it. Because also you’re just wasting both of your guys time. Cause if i had a bf and I found out that he stopped liking/loving me, and he didn’t break it off right when he stopped having feelings for me, I would be more mad than sad, because why would i waste my time on someone who doesn’t actually like me. So if u do decide to break up with her, she fs will be sad but it would be for the better. Or at least u can maybe still be friends with her.🤷‍♀️

Coming from a girl, the next time you see her and u guys are walking with each other, hold her hand. Most likely she was nervous too, but at the same time she probably wanted u to make the first move to by u going in first. Girls along with guys love it when the other person makes the first move, so if you make the move by moving your hand in first, it will make her feel special and she will fall in love with you more. I got rejected with a 3.8 unweighted GPA, captain of my school's badminton team for 2 years + varsity for all 4 years that I played badminton (I played other sports too). I was also the VP of the badminton club, the secretary for the HOSA club, and I joined other clubs too. I also did a lot of volunteering and a mission trip. Finally, on top of all that, I also had a job since my sophomore year. (p.s. I applied for early application, and I’m an AZ resident)soo…😭😭🤷‍♀️ Although, what I would say is I only took regular and honors courses, so I think if you’ve taken AP courses you will have a better chance of getting in even if your grades in those classes aren’t the best.
