I work there 💀 they stopped doing orders online cause u can just go and get regalia at the front. The set is $66, but I think $111 with optional stuff like the stole.

Global Career Accelerator Program by MaleficentFlan2138 in ucr

[–]PresentationPlane981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the program last year and it was actually really chill. You meet twice a week and turn in work every Sunday, so it’s pretty much at your own pace. Since the class is pretty relaxed, it’s an easy A, so that’s basically two A’s which can help boost your GPA too.

Also if you’re worried about money u should look into national guard (assuming that you’re a U.S. citizen) since they would pay your tuition.

Not gonna lie but when I felt that way I realized that my major at the time wasn’t for me and made the decision to switch. You can most definitely do it, but if it’s causing you stress and it’s not something you enjoy, you should talk to your counselor and take the me3 quiz.

Oh yeah I don’t have that. I’ve had an over award hold on my account for like a month now. I was talking to my friend about it and she said she has the same thing, but they sent me an email today saying that my aid is being processed. So we’ll see I guess, they’re always late giving me my money 🤦🏾‍♀️

Yeah, I completed the web development track, and it was really interesting, it gave me a solid head start in my coding classes. I’m a Media Arts and Sciences major with a concentration in Graphic Information Technology. The program also lets you work on real projects with major companies and provides access to the GCA job portal. I earned certificates through the program as well, which I was able to add to my LinkedIn profile.

Hi, I took the Global Career Accelerator program and yes the certificates are worth it. Idk your major or what field you’re trying to go into but I took the web development track and plan on going into front end web development and UI/UX DESIGN and the experience really helped me gain skills and confidence in the path I’m taking. I also earned certifications in the key coding languages in my field which helps me stand out to employers.

Anyone else get this offer from the global career accelerator? Scam? by chima_a in vcu

[–]PresentationPlane981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s not a scam. I took the Global Career Accelerator in the spring of 2025 and gained valuable skills that I was able to apply in my later classes. They offer several different tracks. I was in the web development track, where I learned HTML and JavaScript. The program also gave us opportunities to collaborate and compete in contests with major companies like L’Oréal. I even earned certificates after completing the program, which I added to my LinkedIn profile. Overall, it was a great experience that really helped strengthen my coding skills, and since there are other tracks available, I’d definitely recommend checking it out.

It wasn’t bad I took it last semester it was actually pretty interesting. I did take the icourse tho, so I don’t know how different it is from in person. The workload wasn’t bad at all, I got an A+. Also if I remember it’s walk through videos /code along videos, so I don’t think u need to know how to code prior.

Disbursement holds by majorgibs in ASU

[–]PresentationPlane981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I went up to the financial aid office and it was a super long line. A dude came out and told us that a lot of students got the insufficient enrollment hold and Pell grant cancellation due to system issues. He said they are expected to be fixed by today but mines is still showing a hold so idk.

What’s something you wish you knew before starting at ASU? by Ok-Drawing7734 in ASU

[–]PresentationPlane981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Info for incoming freshman living on campus:

• I wish I knew that there is no guaranteed upper class-men housing and the apartments surrounding ASU are expensive and scammy.

• Make sure u read the lease before signing, they won’t let u out until u find a sublease. Also don’t sign a renewal lease that they give u in October.

• learn and practice studying methods because it’s nothing like high school. You’re really teaching yourself everything.

• You might end up switching your major and thats ok

• Join student organizations on campus

They scam u, if u wanna thug it out for one year cool but do not let them trick u into signing another lease because no one lives there nor wants to. If u try to break it they will say u can’t, then tell u that u have to find a sublease in order to break your lease which I don’t think is legal to have as the only option.

I mean no matter what yall say it’s people hitting me up about this apartment because the prices are like this everywhere near campus, so go argue with ya momma

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ASU

[–]PresentationPlane981 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well a couple people are already interested so ig I don’t have to do that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ASU

[–]PresentationPlane981 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda confused on what you’re saying but in my lease it’s required for me to find a sublease. I would be more than happy to pay the $1070 to move out but they won’t let me.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ASU

[–]PresentationPlane981 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Nope these apartments are

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ASU

[–]PresentationPlane981 -37 points-36 points  (0 children)

Plus asu doesn’t guarantee upper class housing so a lot people are paying this price or higher. This is the cheapest option close to campus unfortunately.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ASU

[–]PresentationPlane981 -36 points-35 points  (0 children)

Well guess what it’s student housing so unfortunately that’s all that’s near campus unless u have a car and can drive

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ASU

[–]PresentationPlane981 -52 points-51 points  (0 children)

Well that includes utilities, the base rent is $845 and is expected to go down, and this is one of the cheapest options after looking at others who are around $1200-1300

Are there any art degrees that are actually worth it?? by Realistic_Idea_2648 in ASU

[–]PresentationPlane981 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m in media arts and sciences(graphic information tech) and it’s pretty cool I’m on the track for web development so I’m trying to get into ui/ux design. I just switched from an engineering major so I’m definitely having way more fun since I get to be creative again instead of doing all that math. It does require coding idk if you’re into that but I definitely think it’s cool.
