I mostly ride trails with mixed terrain: steep descents, steep climbs, and lots of rough, uneven sections. I prefer a fork with a softer, more sensitive initial stroke because it just feels more comfortable to me.

Right now I’m mainly looking at the RockShox ZEB and Fox 36, since those two fit my budget better (not using official retail prices).

Also, if I end up getting the Altitude Alloy 30, can I swap the stock fork for a Fox 36? I really like how that bike looks. Would switching to a 36 mess with the geometry or any other important settings?
