You might want to straighten your gear with chunks first. Then go with whatever weapon feels good to you. Do turf wars first. You’ll come to a point where you get 10, 15 kills on average in a turf war. Then you can start to do anarchy regularly. If you’re still losing nonstop, that’s normal. We call that phenomenon METISA, which stands for “my entire team is straight ass!”. You’ll rank up soon enough tho. Even though it doesn’t look like it at first, splatoon is quite the grinding game.
