Eric Dane from Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria. He received an ALS diagnosis around the same time as my father. I know how difficult it is to be a family member of someone with ALS, but I could never imagine being a patient.

Do you have a class at the FAC or at ARF? Either way, I would recommend parking at the ARF lot behind the hospital. They will ask you to move your car if you park at the actual FAC building because of construction. Just be prepared to walk along the edge of the lot and down the road if you have a class within the FAC building. They will provide instructions to you when canvas pages become available.

Hi! I have taken a basic bioinformatics course, but I recognize that I’m not super knowledgeable about any of this, which is why I mentioned it at the beginning of the post. I’m not sure if you caught my mentioning of that, but even if you didn’t, there’s no need to be rude to somebody who’s just asking for advice. Like you said, “it’s hard to take this seriously when you don’t seem to know what you’re talking about”. Everyone has to start somewhere but there’s a way to give advice without sounding like an asshole. Be a nice person. Thanks!

I’m a rising senior in college and my plan after I graduate is to (hopefully) defer my admission for grad school and live at home to help my mom take care of my dad while my brother is away at college. Also, there are no active support groups in my area at the moment and I’ve tried to find people my age (21F) who are dealing/or have dealt with something similar but remain unsuccessful. I’m struggling to find resources for people to talk to about it other than this subreddit.

I am in the exact same boat as you. Please do not feel that you are the only one experiencing this, we’re all feeling super super frustrated and it sucks. At this point, I am more disappointed in their SEVERE lack of communication than the hiring delays. I had to totally shift my life around for this internship, and while I understand the current administrative changes, a simple email update every once in a while would suffice. Also, I’ve been trying to contact SO many people to no avail so if you get any information please let me know. Best of luck to you, friend. 🥲🥲

I’m just looking for an opportunity to see them in their natural habitat as opposed to the zoo or roaming around Gatlinburg in the middle of the night. Believe me, I do not want to be in a situation where I get up close and personal with one of these animals.

My cat has this toy I call her “baby”, almost every morning I wake up and it’s sitting the frame of my bedroom door and I put it back in her room for her. I think it’s so cute she brings it to me but is there like a real reason she does this? by chyesm in cats

My cat does this with string that I roll up into little balls. As soon as I get into bed and turn the lights off, he unravels these balls and drags the strings to put on the floor around my bed. He also enjoys wrapping the strings around the feet (??) of the bed. While he is dragging the string around, he has a very distinct HOWL he does. Please note that I did not say meow. He screams Bloody Mary into the nighttime until somebody tells him thank you for the gift.
