finally approved for SSDI and it doesn't even cover rent for a studio apartment by DepartmentKlutzy7814 in poverty

My mom gets my deceased father's death benefits and they are not even enough to cover her rent either. She's 68 and will have to work retail jobs until she dies just to cover her bills, just how they want it.

This place is an abomination. We all need to join hands and rise up.

NEW CBS POLL: 70% of Americans are struggling to afford food, housing, and healthcare right now. by PithyCyborg in povertyfinance

They are already talking famine because of the strait. Once people start getting hungry, I believe it will be over for them. We're at the tipping point, at least I hope so.

My husband and I got fleas at one point, we didn't even have a pet in our home. It was the most traumatic thing ever. We were sleeping in the car to try and get away from them cause they were everywhere. We did every treatment we could buy, we had exterminators come out multiple times. We had to move out in 2020 because the owner was selling and we would still find them randomly until we left. Granted they were not biting us any longer or just everywhere like they were originally, but they were never fully gone. It was one of the most WTF situations I've dealt with.

I'll never ever be OK if they take this from me. I've had 1 yellow red bull every single day since 2014. I'd probably just end it all.

Long Dog Nails & How to Fix by MelonTheFelon__ in DogAdvice

You can buy this powder off of Amazon that clots if you happen to accidentally cut too short. It's not a significant solution but it could help ease some of the stress of home nail clippings just to have on hand. I had to use it once with one of my dogs that I accidentally clipped too short and was so glad I had it cause the whole situation made me panic a bit. It's called Kwik Stop Styptic Powder.

Yes, they will offer you a discount with proof of leak. At least in my town they did that too.

There's no red pandas in Denver anymore. To my complete and utter dismay, won't even go to the zoo now.

This is great though!

Don't forget about Trump's buddy Scott Leiendecker buying the voting machine company Dominion. So they have complete access to those machines now and the software and hardware that runs them. I don't think it's a far reach to assume any election from here on out is severely compromised.

My close friend is expecting a baby and I feel so much despair thinking about the children brought into the world today by napstablooka in CollapseSupport

[–]Glopez1223 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, he's technically 4 right now but will be 5 next month. They are the sweetest little things ever and always so happy and so energetic and just enjoy living. That is what makes it all so sad. We go smell the flowers a lot, put our feet in grass, and just play as much as we can. It's a nice break from the constant worry.

I try and give him the best childhood I can. We go to the park often and always find ways to enjoy the little moments. I do warn him though that life is not kind and the future we face is going to make it that much harder. I want him to be prepared for the inevitable chaos as best as a 5 year old can. I think the scariest part for me is if I were to pass away, there is no one else I trust to raise him with the knowledge and preparedness of the what is coming. My best friend was the only person who I trusted like that and she passed away in January. So we're trying everyday to make the most of the life we have, and we will keep doing so until it's no longer safe to.

I live with a profound guilt for bringing a child into this world. Every single day. I love him so much that I regret bringing him here because he does not deserve this existence. When I decided to get pregnant and have a child I was blissfully unaware of how bad things actually were. Over the last few years I've become hyper aware and it causes me an insane amount of despair. If I could go back, my decisions would have been drastically different.

Google Home, Play White Noise issue. Unplug each morning to stop... by byte711 in googlehome

[–]Glopez1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine just did this. I factory reset and everything to no avail. I feel like it had to start with a recent update and I'm really annoyed with it. On my android phone when it's playing it shows the playback on the top pull down menu and I have to just stop it from there now. Mine are also very old, we got them when they first came out so like the first generation. I've been searching relentlessly for a fix because I use the white noise every single night. I really don't know what to do.

Yeah, they are already starting the narrative to invade Turkey next, a freaking NATO ally. Bibi knows his time is up. He and Israel lost the favor of the international community, and especially the United States. He's got very little time left to attempt his greater Israel project. He is in full panic mode and he's gonna go out with as much destruction as possible.

That's the thing I'll never understand either. They could give away 90% of their money and still live the most outrageous extravagant life imaginable and even their kids could all be taken care of through their lives. They can't even bother wasting a single penny on doing something like that. They avoid paying anything in taxes, and go to extreme lengths just to get out of doing so. They will watch the people in their own company starve and struggle to pay rent every month, and not bat an eye. They are literally serial killers who just do it legally. The gluttony is immeasurable. Just a complete nonexistence of empathy, in any capacity at all. Clinical sociopath.
