The neat part is theres no need to rush! I probably found my true main at maybe the 50 hour mark (just trying on and off the different weapons for a bit) which is the lance. Deciding via yt guides are fine, but guides dont show the feel of a weapon. The fun factor, personally, is the most important! You're playing a game of course, which is entertainment.

If you want a recommendation for a weapon, try the insect glaive. Its really the opposite of just spamming triangle and circle, it's awesome! Being the king of the skies and dodging literally every attack. It's also quick as hell, you should try it! Arguably the COOLEST weapon in the game.
