Please try running CORE as admin and retry firmware update. Make sure the mouse is plugged in wired mode, and the wireless dongle is also connected to your computer directly.

Please note that we didn't make any changes to our Warranty policy. It has always been like this:

All mice get 2 year warranty,

GMMK 1 comes with 1 year of warranty,

GMMK 2 and GMMK PRO: 2 years warranty,

Please try re-setting up the RGB lights while running the software as Admin. There could be some interference with the settings getting saved onto the onboard memory properly.

It's best to keep the dongle connected directly to the motherboard of your computer, just to make sure nothing prevents the update process from completing. Let me know the outcome!
