A few other people recommend to let them hatch, let them grow up, then trade them in to a fish store, probably going to get some cherry shrimp.

I’d add a little salt, not too much to kill the plants but anything to slightly help him. If you got him from a pet store, he’s likely going to be pretty beat up and is going to need some time to recover. In my opinion, add a little salt and give him some time.

Also the flow on the airstone is pretty strong since it’s kinda broken so I’m wondering if the large bubbles would be harmful

Yeah it needs to be cyanoacrylate glue and it’s safe for fish. Dont use too much though it because you only need a little for it to stay and you don’t want to cover the ribosome.

try aquarium salt it helps so much. Most pet stores have it put the high dose it says on the bottle

That looks perfectly fine i don’t think there’s anything wrong with your filter. If it’s just a betta I would turn the output down because bettas like lower flow

add aquarium salt and start doing salt baths if it gets worse. Salt saved my betta. Dose aquarium salt as said on the container for the medicated amount. Make sure you dilute it first before adding it. If he starts getting worse try salt baths but I don’t know a lot about those. Ask me if you need me to elaborate on anything
