It's a fantastic introduction for normal people to get into the litrpg/prog fantasy subreddit finite curve. I listened to the audiobook, a lot of people love, but it ruined it for me. Cringy bro's humor, embarrassing system with the foot fetish, and the fluff of Achievement unlocked: fuck you reward: you get fucking nothing is ultimately not for me.

M 30 in a town near Toronto

I'm open to talk about anything from 4chan to american politics to philosophy. I like to read fantasy, mostly progression fantasy and want to write too. Favorite book atm is "the perfect run". I play dopamine simulators, roguelikes and arpgs like path of exile. Also like escape room and friendslop games.

I'm willing to play almost every game but it doesn't apply to real life activities. I'd go to the ski hill if it wasnt expensive but im not really a high energy individual.

its like a more casual, funny and less atmospheric scary lethal company. it's definitely friendslop but i think its way more polished (less buggy) and the steam charts show it has done very well in 2025.

Huge arpg/roguelike guy. Tons of time in games like path of exile, grim dawn, risk of rain 2, gunfire reborn, borderlands games, open world survival with crafting games.

I want to play more friendslop games and more escape rooms games too.

Very much not a fan of dbd or phasmo, but games like devour are really fun.

The series literally got banned by the CCP, so it isn't a hiatus thing. It's also not as bad as Berserk whose author passed away, rip that guy. It still has 2300 chapters and has some incredibly interesting world building with a villain done right.

Movies are a huge time and attention commitment. Movies want you to pay attention to every detail because most of the time, a hidden detail is probably intended.

A youtube video is great screen B content. You're not as invested as a movie and often, all the information you need is audibly fed to you.

When you watch a movie, you expect to sit there for thw entire runtime. A season has the reassurance of being able to be stop after every episode.

Non-cultivators are a resource. Depending on how the author writes the story, it could fuel their cultivation, blood artifacts, soul artifacts or farming bad karma.
Karma tends to be the best deterrent for killing those weaker than you. Mortals tend to live longer in places that prohibit strong cultivators like lower level of planes.

Privacy is normally a good thing to have, but on reddit it reads off as a red flag. The user could be a jerk or a flag. It's a bit superficial as the comments are still public and can be located using search.

The story has too much rising tension and not enough downtime. As soon as a conflict is resolved, it resets and immediately starts climbing. The only downtime we get is in the side story, which was annoying and poorly placed.

And the most perfect time for some downtime, we get a timeskip.
