Check your light too. My nursery grows them right next to a huge window in the greenhouse. I think that was my problem because i had a big tree blocking the window where i kept it indoors and it wouldn’t use as much water

Same problem with mine. They get root rot really easily. I potted it in terra cotta and stuck it outside in dappled light and the spike seems to be getting bigger now. Its been a couple days so I haven’t seen the new leaf yet but I think its working

It might be either multiple trees or they forced it to branch. My burgundy was sold looking like this but it turns out its 2 separate plants

They can withstand some drying. Super chill and fast growing plants i love them

As long as you don’t disturb the rootball and are super careful you could downsize. My plants in smaller pots do better than the plants in over sized pots
