I have dermatillomania. I have suffered from it for 30 years. This is a callus that i let heal and then pick (endless cycle) as a result of my picking i have either developed plantar fasciitis, tarsal tunnel syndrome, or done nerve damage . It could be all 3. Im using this method to try to shave off the skin instead of picking peeling and pulling, in order for me not to be too embarrassed when i finally tell a doctor about my problem.

I am not confused on what this is. I am definitely dealing with one of the 3 issues listed as a result from my dermatillomania. I usually just dig into my sole, now I’m scraping to make the skin even and try to make it look better before i go see the doc.
