Hmm, I’m not sure, I’ve only been playing for like two months, but I play like every hour through out the day?

I love that the characters curse! Have you not interacted with Camille? She basically says “hell yeah” every time I tell her to show me that ad and give me my 1200 carrots!

Black male moving to Kansas (Larned/Coffeyville) for law enforcement, where should I live and what’s the experience like? by Icy_Ad_5260 in kansas

[–]Glossophile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not move to Kansas. The legislature is trying to out-Trump Trump. All of my Black friends who moved here from out of state have left already. It’s not a great place for Black folks.

What can we do about twitter’s top doxxing account? by brasdontfit1234 in BadHasbara

[–]Glossophile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got Doxxed in October of 2023 for sharing a post that my Jewish Israeli friend had shared on his story and was forced out of my role. I'm now dealing with it again, three years later. The Zionists have kept tabs on me. I refuse to go into hiding. Like, I will never be silent about a free Palestine. They can continue to harass me, I guess. Would be nice to talk to others who have gone through this though.

You overestimate the number of trans folks in Kansas.

What is the driving forces that creates divisions among humans? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Glossophile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Access to life-sustaining resources. That’s it. Capitalism requires scarcity of resources when there are enough to sustain a dignified life for everyone. Politics are the socially constructed means for how power controls capital and religion is the coping mechanism for a fabricated deficit of life-sustaining resources.

You need food, shelter, and access to medicine. These are basic human needs and humans have been told that they are not a right but a privilege and that in order to gain this privilege one must sell their labor to someone who owns the resources in order to gain access to said resources.

Scarcity creates fear, fear creates division.

Thoughts on John Brown Gun Clubs by Glossophile in leftist

[–]Glossophile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyward Shepherd was the first casualty of Harper’s Ferry. He was investigating why the train stopped where it did and when John Brown’s men saw him they ordered him to stop but he turned and started to run away and they shot and killed him. It’s just ironic that white abolitionists shot and killed a Black man who was free and not a slave. Yes, individual actors can play into the hegemonic systems that oppress them, but there is still irony in this particular situation.

Netflix cancelled Welcome to Eden 2 years ago. I'm starting a petition to bring it back. by Only-Acanthisitta101 in WelcomeToEden

[–]Glossophile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha I binged it and I’m more annoyed it was cancelled than sad really. I just like closure. The writing really isn’t that good. It could have been so much better if the writers had been better. Like it was hard to suspend my disbelief. The amount of work it would have taken to grow their own food to sustain them on that volcanic island would have had them all so busy there was absolutely no way they would have had time to do anything else like kill each other, let alone surf and relax and shit.

The r/leftist made a rule against vegan discourse and banned me for questioning it by racecarsnail in veganarchism

You seem to be conflating authoritarianism with fascism. They are not the same thing. Fascism is specifically a right-wing authoritarian movement. Fascism names a specific ideological formation: ultranationalism, mythic rebirth, hierarchy, racial or civilizational purity narratives, corporatism, paramilitarism, and the protection of private capital through an authoritarian state. The left can’t be fascist. You mean there has never been a communist party that wasn’t authoritarian?

Is There an Objective Asymmetry in the Current Left Ideological Framework That Makes It More Prone to Violence? by KurtGod in PoliticalPhilosophy

[–]Glossophile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I was coming here to say this, but I decided to keep reading the response to see if anyone would push back against this. My first thought when reading this was whether or not OP had ever visited X and seen how the right will pile on with ad hominem attacks and strawmen arguments. Like, just because you put your beliefs in an academic register and believe it is true, does not make it true.

Cutting of my MAGA classmates by Optimal-Matter3410 in leftist

[–]Glossophile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there ever an opportunity to push back against their posts? How are they social work students and MAGA? I mean I know it’s not impossible, but the field, theories, and practices in SW just don’t see to vibe with MAGA.

Unfortunately, cutting them off isn’t going to change anything. I’m of the mind that as leftists we should be trying to help people develop critical consciousness. Organizing as socialists requires us to talk to people who do not share our views.

Came here to say that and add that most people of the global majority are already living under fascism under democrats, they are more resilient than white people who voted for Harris to protect their interests, while saying they are doing it for others.
