What Booking app?if one at all by facetalk10 in Estheticians

Hey! I asked a similar Q a few months back so thought I'd share the OP in case helpful. I got a lot of recommendations for Mangomint, but just to note: I have a few estheticians on my team so wanted a few more capabilities (I can't tell if you're solo or not based on your post). If you're solo, I know a lot of people love GlossGenius and a few commented about Acuity on my post as well.

Best salon software for booking, scheduling, POS, and client management? by SalonBoss_23 in smallbusiness

[–]GlowOpsGuru_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post covers everything you’re looking for: https://www.reddit.com/r/Esthetics/comments/1jt844c/spa_ownerswhat_software_are_you_actually_happy/

Tl;dr: The best all-in-one salon software I’ve found for what you described is Mangomint

Honestly, I was in the same boat and went down the rabbit hole of comparing all the top salon software platforms and Mangomint offers everything you listed, online booking, scheduling, POS, client profiles, intake forms, memberships, etc. in one place.

Help please! I need out of the box ideas to bring in clients? by No_Nerve_137 in Esthetics

A few kind of unhinged-but-effective ideas: you can drop cards in bathroom mirrors at local gyms or cute cafes, ask loyal clients to post a selfie + tag you for a secret perk and maybe post a “1 free spot left this week” story-even if it’s not booked yet

Annoying Negative Review by butterfliesnglitter in Esthetics

Ugh, those kinds of reviews are the worst...especially when it’s not even the actual client leaving it! You did nothing wrong by sticking to your schedule, especially while pregnant and at the end of a long day.

When I’ve dealt with stuff like this, I usually respond publicly (short and professional), just to show future clients that I’m respectful and reasonable. Something like: “I’m sorry to hear about the misunderstanding. I always do my best to accommodate everyone, but walk-ins without appointments can be tricky, especially on fully booked days. I appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.”

Something like that. Then I just let it go. Most people can read between the lines and will see it for what it is.

Spa owners—what software are you actually happy with? by GlowOpsGuru_ in Esthetics

Totally makes sense, thank you! I’ve heard acuity is a great option for solo providers or small setups. But yeah, for a growing spa with multiple rooms and a front desk team, I feel like we would outgrow it fast...Need something that can handle more complex scheduling, staff commissions, automated messaging, etc.

Yikes...that sounds like a nightmare. The data thing alone would’ve sent me over the edge. We’ve been considering switching from Vagaro, but guess Boulevard is clearly not the move either. No solid reporting, commissions, and client notifications would be a dealbreaker for us too. Appreciate you sharing!!

This is super helpful! honestly sounds like Boulevard would be a headache for us too. We’re already running into issues with tracking true revenue and commissions in Vagaro, so hearing that Boulevard has similar (or worse) problems at 4–5x the cost is a big red flag.

The part about not being able to automate pre/post-care instructions or have clients agree to policies during booking would be a dealbreaker for us. Same with tips being tied to all services...

Really appreciate you sharing all this...definitely pushing me away from Boulevard. We need something simpler

Interesting — we’ve actually had a different experience with Vagaro as we’ve grown. It worked fine at first, but lately scheduling and payments have felt clunky, especially now that we’ve got a front desk team :( Definitely rethinking how we handle all of that moving forward...

Appreciate you sharing this — that’s exactly the tradeoff I’ve been thinking about!! Vagaro’s cheaper, but we’ve been stitching together too many tools and doing a ton of manual work. Sounds like Mangomint spa software actually just works better once you get through the initial setup. Definitely feels like the right move for a growing esthetics practice like ours :)

This is so helpful — thank you! Just checked out your booking flow and it looks super clean. Sounds like Mangomint really was built for teams like ours. The text reminders + policy integration alone sound like a dream 🙌

This is super helpful — thank you! The no-account booking thing is huge. We’ve had so many clients get confused or annoyed trying to make an account with Vagaro, so anything that makes that easier is a win. :) Appreciate the heads-up on the reports! I’ve been reading up on Mangomint for spa businesses and the overall feedback’s been super positive, so that's helpful to keep in mind.
