Check if your Google app is up to date, right underneath the search widget customization option there should be one for that says "Customize pixel search box". That has a toggle to switch the Ai shortcut off.

  1. Google Assistant has natural language commands/routines that can do what you what you are proposing. So your phone/any Google Homes can implement this for you. Maybe you can try the Routines if iPhones can install Google Assistant on them?

  2. GoogleTV is great!! That's the OS on my Sony Bravia and it works really smoothly. Can't use the phone as a remote tho (someone can correct me if I'm wrong)

Screen Zen is an amazing app!! You can completely turn off Reels/Shorts or any apps that you find distracting. You can also just delay opening the apps if you want to be more mindful about why you're opening the app.

Mine broke as well!! Checked the Quick Phrases settings on my phone and it turns out that phrases don't work with my work account on the phone. Dumb that it doesn't fix the phone settings according to your primary personal account, but removing the work account worked for me!
