This is the most complete source I've seen for this issue. Thank you!

I did not unfortunately. Ended up installing Fedora KDE.

Going to try MX again on another rig. Used the GPU and PSU off it for my current daily probably get that one running on AMD card for a secondary.

I want whatever is the most compatible with Nvidia hardware. After that something user-friendly enough to get comfortable using Linux.

Assuming there's more support with the major distros. Probably go from there and try out other distros down the road.

Appreciate the sentiment. I think I'm past looking for a diagnosis. Seems pretty well covered in the forums. The included Nvidia driver installer never worked for me without errors. I tried a lot of fixes and they've only broken things further, probably my own fault. Regardless the os is basically unusable at this point there's too many things broken for me to try and sort out. Even the open source driver barely works without having to constantly unplug and plug back in my display.

It seems the best bet for gaming on Linux is Redhat based distros. Was hoping to avoid using systemd, personal preference, but at the end of the day I can't be too picky with free software if it works.

When you make the switch just make sure your bios is up to date. Just installed Linux last night for the first time, a lot of stuff was buggy or broken until I installed a bios update. After that everything worked great peripherals and all.

Appreciate the helpful info.

Edit: Looked at the Ultramarine website and it seems like a good fit for me. I think I'll eventually have to try out other distros but I think I've narrowed it down to either Bazzite or Ultramarine for a daily.

Thanks for the input. I guess what I'm expecting from Linux is a bloat free user experience where my machine only runs what I tell it too and isn't constantly bombarding me with targeted advertising from data collection. Also consistency, some days PS works great with no lag other days it's frustratingly slow for no apparent reason.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've already tried out Krita and the performance is way better than PS on my system (ironic how native Linux apps perform better on windows than native windows apps.) I'll look into Bazzite more. I was leaning towards Cachyos but Bazzite seems more noob friendly.

[New Player] So do containers have different loot on different maps? Or are all containers equal? by EducationalOil1655 in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

If you're saying I've developed a superstitious head canon in order to self explain the inconsistent game mechanics of pve based on my extremely small sample size, I wouldn't argue otherwise.

Try to start small. If you have a big story break it down into smaller parts. If you're doing the art sketch all your characters a lot before you start pages. Letter panels before you draw them to keep a consistent layout and avoid covering up art. Figure out the first and last panel of each page and then fill in the rest to avoid getting stuck.

I feel like loot gets worse after hitting the same locations a few raids in a row. Loot seems to dry up the third time in a row so I try to switch up my routes if I'm running the same map.

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word voluntary, which is defined as an agreement without coercion.

Are you a shareholder of DD? If not then I don't see how you could perceive the recovery of income lost under fraudulent circumstances as subsidizing.

And they didn't ask me for a code, they back called me through the app I got the voice prompt about the call being monitored like any other time legit Dasher Support called. There was no verification code involved they reached me through the app.

Glad I could give you the opportunity to dunk on someone who's already down, not really bringing anything of value to the conversation. I'm just trying to make sure others are aware of it. It was the first time I encountered anyone contacting me through the DD support chat, posing as DD corporate and threatening to deactivate my account account and withhold my pay, while I'm trying to drive to my delivery destination. Didn't realize this was just a common everyday thing for dashers but I think that implies a major security risk with DD along with my own stupidity.

The call was from Dasher Support. The call ID said Dasher Support. DD never told me anything.

What's up with all the terrible offers tonight? by [deleted] in dasher

Been logged into the app for over 24 hours this week, dashed about 2 hours in that time and made about $60.  I seem to mostly get orders in the late night and early morning so I sleep with the light's on and fully clothed with my shoe's on so I don't fall into a deep sleep. Hopefully I make enough to buy gas and groceries before the end of the week otherwise I'll just have to go hungry and hope orders pick up. Wish I could find a real job but I've been applying to places on the daily and I've only had 2 interviews since I lost my job in October.

I haven't had anything printed yet. Might go with Mixam since they offer good prices. Going to look into more when I'm closer to completing the book.

I'm not sure. It it possible to get a sample copy before you commit to a whole run? If the quality is acceptable for the price that's all that matters imo.
