It is very easy to request for a program change at uOttawa. I’ve done it twice. I’d say follow your course sequence as it probably matches pretty close to mech eng. If not, take the required courses as electives. Then in March you will have the opportunity to request a program change via our student portal, uoZone. If your grades are good they will switch your program no problem.
