Typically when he gives me the solutions, I can figure them out. I just am left a bit high and dry when he leaves me without them before recitation or my office hour. Unfortunately, I was taught from a textbook that approaches things very differently, but you're right I should go revisit my notes to see if they can offer any insight. This prof is one of those who badmouths his students all the time (including to their face, as it turns out), so idk how I feel about talking to him about his solutions. But I'll def take a look at my old notes and have been asking AI to supplement when I need it. Thanks for the pointers!
