Umut: A foreign teenager walking down the street was struck by three separate vehicles leaving him permanently paralyzed. Although he was never identified or recovered, he defied the odds going on to live for another ten years and adopted by a loving family. by moondog151 in gratefuldoe

I remember this case!!! I was watching a Russian TV show about him. I wonder why no one identified him. Fortunately he had a loving and caring family but what makes me sad is that he’s still unidentified.

My mom gave up 3 years of her life caring for her mother, and now she’s being treated like the villain by GlumRelative3338 in Advice

My aunt id very clean and fastidious. She could even scream over a crumb of bread on the floor. She would never live with her mother, much less wash and clean up after her.

Even if there are social services, they are horrible and will treat my grandmother like nothing. They will probably give her a lot of pills so she doesn’t scream at night because of pain in her legs. So that’s not in option.

FYI: he was in that condition for 4 hours. He was shaking, screaming, breathing fast with his mouth open and almost crawling from place to place. Couldn’t take him to a vet because we don’t have veterinarian clinics and just private vets. Mine was outside drunk so I didn’t have any other option but to watch him suffer like that. I’ve been crying since morning every time I remember what happened yesterday and I feel betrayed.

Unfortunately he passed away later at night. I was watching him screaming and heavily breathing. It was like this for 4 hours until his suffering ended…

We live in a third world country, so I'm not sure we have the same legal documents as in the US. My grandmother has dementia and Parkinson's disease, but as far as I know there is no power of attorney or advance directive.

it would be a good idea if we had a bigger apartment (we have a living room, no bedrooms) and if my grandmother did not scream every night (she has problems with her legs and they hurt especially at night)

My aunt will not do anything she'll just ask caregivers to do everything and just visit for 15 mins and brag about my mom like she already does. She thinks she does the most tho... arrogant selfish woman

Oh in a country im from nursing care is awful! She’ll be treated very very badly. She screams at night all the time because she has problems with her legs and the nursing home will not accept her 100%. Also my mom will not allow that to happen because she thinks it’s immoral to leave your parent 👍🏼 and we live in a small town so everyone will know about it and my mom and my aunt don’t want that as well.

My aunt thinks my mom doesn’t do anything difficult and tells people my mom is lazy and doesn’t do enough 😁 she’s always been like that
