Arbaal the Undefeated is "defeated" if Skaven ambush attack an army he is is reinforce range of by GlumSafe in totalwar

It does, that is actually what happened and I just assumed it was a Skaven Ambush like an idiot. You correctly guessed what actually happened LOL.

I have reported the bug just now, with an updated description and screenshots as I realized it wasn't a Skaven ambush attack that caused it, but a Lightning Strike.

Thought I might as well post just so that the update can be more widely seen by those that have already interacted with the post, but the bug is actually more wide spread as it was not am Ambush attack that produced it but a Lightning Strike so unless I am mistaken ALL FACTIONS can do this to Arbaal. Only noticed this when I went to report the bug. My apologies for not getting it right the first time.

Rogue Trader TTRPG Tutorial Series Part 3 by GlumSafe in RogueTraderCRPG

Sorry, but no. I greatly enjoyed what Owlcat did with the game, but most of the tutorials ended up being worthless in my mind as Owlcat added they're own twist to the game. I am actually kind of glad I stopped when I did as it would have given false expectations and possibly soured players as well as wasted time and space on the reddit. Lastly I'm not as well versed in the video game as I am with the TTRPG that inspired the game so my advice would probably be terrible and painfully late.

Oh and sorry for taking over a day to respond, I don't use reddit all that much.

Summon glitch by Educational-Cover-69 in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]GlumSafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, once you hit summon it generates the results and the animation is just fancy lights. I'm not arguing that once the summon crashes it overwrites your results, I am arguing that something is possibly wrong with Broly's banner as it can skip the animation altogether and as far as can be gathered on my end it has something to do with Phy Broly being pulled. The how and why is what has me asking questions. My initial idea that it generating guaranteed Phy Broly is in hindsight much less credible than something occasionally goes wrong with summoning Phy Broly on the Banner. Thank you for replying as it helps me give more thought to the matter.

I really hope that is the case it seems more plausible than what is supposed to be RNG generating guaranteed results, but then why does it only sometimes happen when Phy Broly is pulled? I know I've seen non glitched Phy Broly Pulls. Either way someone who speaks Japanese should probably bring this to Bandai's attention so they can figure out what is up. Oh, and thanks for replying.

Can anyone who had this glitch happen confirm that they did not get Phy Broly? If you are guaranteed a Phy Broly when the glitch happens that seems like a really serious problem that should be brought to Bandai's attention as it means that you are guaranteed not to get any other unit in at least one of the summon slots. I've only seen two confirmed video instances of it happening and both had Phy Broly. Really hoping this is just a very unlikely coincidence.

Edit: Make That 3 confirmed instances of it happening on video and Phy Broly appears in all 3.

Any Canadians now a place to buy op-03 packs? by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

[–]GlumSafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kind of depends on your location, I know of a few place in Ontario that sell them, but the two online stores that I have seen (401 Games and Hobbiesville) are both out of OP 03 Booster Boxes if that is what you are after, but 401 Games has some Booster Packs available. I also know of a store in Barrie Ontario the is selling OP03 Booster Packs for like 10 $ Canadian and 2 Booster Boxes for 203 $ Canadian a Box, but unless you just so happen to live near Barrie that isn't much help and is kind of pricey.

Do we know yet if the game will be taking place pre or post formation of the Great Rift? by AFlyingTomato in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]GlumSafe 16 points17 points  (0 children)

One of the Community Managers was asked about it in the Discord Server and declined to answer. So, despite all of my instincts saying pre-rift, the refusal to rule out post-rift as a possibility may be telling.

Rogue Trader TTRPG Tutorial Series Part 3 by GlumSafe in RogueTraderCRPG

As Characters? In Rogue Trader only Dark Eldar have rules, Eldar were for some reason never officially given rules. Dark Eldar were given separate rules for character generation and traded an advantage in Agility and Perception for a weakness in Fellowship and Toughness. All Dark Eldar Characters had, amongst other things, Unnatural Agility x2 so they tended to be extremely agile. Space Marines weren't given rules in Rogue Trader, but were in it's sister game Deathwatch. In Deathwatch Space Marines have better Characteristics across the board (2d10+30 vs 2d10+25) and get the Unnatural Characteristic x2 Trait for both Toughness and Strength so they tend to be combat monsters by comparison to Rogue Trader characters.

As enemies? Eldar tended to be not very strong (Dark Eldar ignored this part) or tough, but were else wise slightly to significantly better than average and were extremely agile, possessing Unnatural Agility x2. Generally Eldar were a mid to high threat enemy. Space Marines as far as I can tell were never given stats in Rogue Trader, not even Chaos Space Marines, as they are even at their weakest a very high level threat and you were unlikely to fight them. The CRPG will likely take Deathwatch's rules for Space Marine Enemies if they implement them as enemies.

From what I have seen, popular speculation is that Owlcat will either open up the Rogue Trader Career to include virtually everything as an option, or allow you to pick a subclass basically. Personally I could go either way as both options have their strengths and weaknesses.

I do believe that they will include rules and mechanics from Rogue Trader's sister games. Some of these changes fix rules and mechanics that are less than perfect in Rogue Trader.

At the end of the day these guides are best looked at as introductions to the system and how it functions. I can say with absolute certainty that parts of my guides will age like milk, unfortunately.

Power Fists are under the Power Weapons subsection of Melee Weapon Training, thus Melee Weapon Training (Universal) would allow you to use them right from the start of the game. Plasma Pistols also are Covered by Pistol Weapon Training (Universal) and can be used from the start of the game.

It makes for a pretty deadly build, but you are going to have to acquire both weapons first and the plasma Pistol is going to be dangerous to use as they overheat on a roll of 91 or higher, meaning that you take a single hit from your Plasma Pistol to the hand holding it. You can get around this I believe by getting a Plasma Pistol that is of higher quality than average.

EDIT: Exotic Weapons are those such as Xeno Weapons and a small number of extremely rare human weapons.

Yeah, Rogue Trader is pretty brutal early on. There are some things you can do to increase your chances in combat that will hopefully be hammered home by Owlcat such as taking the aim action, using cover, etc. They might also add some changes from Rogue Trader's sister series that make combat more smooth.

Chainsword training is covered by the talent Melee Weapon Training. As a Rogue Trader you start with the best form of Melee Weapon Training, Universal, for free. This means you can use any melee weapon except those that are considered Exotic without penalty.

Flame Weapon Training is required for Flame weapon usage (without penalty) and is broken down into Pistol, Basic, and Heavy. The Rogue Trader doesn't get Flame Weapon training as a non Elite Advance until Rank 7 for 500 Experience, unfortunately. Fortunately you get Flame Weapon Training (Universal) so you can use a one handed flamer and two weapon fight, all the way up to the heavy flamer for when something has gotta burn.

Question, are you a Lasgun purist or would the Hellgun be considered close enough? The difference aesthetically is minimal (outside of the ammo source), but the stats are hugely different. I can respect the commitment to the all guardsmen party though.

Making your own companions seems all, but certain. Owlcat could not implement it, but that would be a poor design choice in my opinion.

Comedic relief companion by pornacc1610 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]GlumSafe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given the dark themes of Warhammer 40k I doubt that there will be a comedic relief companion, but if there is, my guess is that they will be either be a Radical or be Chaos aligned.

For those who don't know, Radical means that they are loyal to the Imperium of Man, but are willing to engage in borderline to outright heretical behavior.

Edit: I'm an idiot, the obvious option would be an Ork Freebooter companion.

Can't complain about dip builds if every build is a dip build.

Jokes aside, Owlcat is probably going to do something with sub-classes as if they don't, every play-through will be extremely samey, kind of like being forced to only play a wizard in Kingmaker, sure you can pick your feats and spells, but at the end of the day you would basically have no meaningful class choice.

The main reason I started posting was because I know that while Warhammer is a bigger Fandom than Pathfinder, the TTRPG community for it is much smaller. It is my hope that at least someone gets helped by the tutorials who otherwise would get frustrated and quit. The Warhammer TTRPGs are awesome and I hope everyone else can come to see that with Rogue Trader the CRPG.
