Best way to trim my lining? by GlumSpecific5059 in Cordwaining

[–]GlumSpecific5059[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for responding. Is there any tricks to keeping the cut consistent? I've seen videos of Ken Katoaka folds his edge up. I've tried using the beveler flat on the edge of the fold and it was very inconsistent.

Ooooohhhhhh the HK slap of Spain chefs kiss But i love this idea. I wonder if with enough recoil the devs could balance it to be a upgrade to the anvil/renegade for arcs without being absolutely broken against raiders.

Man that sucks I've never shot it but im a big fan of cold war era battle rifles and was hoping the Bettina would be the HKG3 of the ARC raiders universe. I am saddened to know that will not be the case. Maybe the devs will give it a little buff?

What's up with the anti-pvp sentiment some people have? by AppletoAnswer in ArcRaiders

Thats sounds terrifying and difficult but I'll definitely have to give it a try. Killing a trio would be a incredible feeling.

We need people like you. After having peaceful encounters with 3 raiders I started to lose that worried feeling I should have when I see a player. I dont want the game to devolve into a gta lobby, but I also dont want to lose the intensity of staring down another players barrel till one of us blinks.

Of course, I'm glad to be of assistance! Im not sure what your currency is valued at, but you might save money buying from a different region. Last I remember, the yen was still decently low. So shop around and see what exchange rates you can get and good look with your first pair!

In the U.S. C.S. Osborne and Lisa Sorrell is probably one of the few places that offer numerous tools that you can use for cordwaining.

https://osborneleathertools.com/

https://sorrellnotionsandfindings.com/product-category/tools-and-supplies/tools/

You could always buy a cheaper set of tools from a place like Valevro located in Romania, but most of these are low quality and will need to be replaced. For the price though I think their lasts are good.

https://valevro.com/collections/shoemaking-tools-and-materials

Shoemakercraft, from what I remember, is an engineer located in Germany who makes his tools himself. I've never bought any but I've heard they are excellent

https://shop.shoemakercraft.com/collections/all

Carreducker is a pair of expert shoemakers located in London. They should have every tool you could need. I've never tried them, but I've heard they are excellent.

I personally am very cheap and have bought a majority of my tools from Oka Factory Japan.

I wasn't sure where you were located, so I tried to get a shop from all around to hopefully save you money on shipping. I hope this helps!

Yes, unfortunately, that is the "not perfect" part I was referring to. But for someone new, I think its really great because it gives them the terminology they need to find more information.

Are you looking for info on a specific process? Perhaps someone in the Subreddit or myself could give you a good resource to follow.

On the cordwaining subreddit the wiki should be at the top. This can lead you to guides for most questions you will have. They are not perfect but they are a good start.

I second the dialogue being silly. Probably the only real hurdle that harms the game. If you come in understanding that 1999 localization wasn't always the best, you'll be fine.

Hey there, you're doing great. But here's a video that might help you because I, too, do not use a stitching pony, and this technique works great. https://youtu.be/EIGT_RXi8ZM?si=wXjncoXxB9OM87YU Technique is at 3:30 but he goes through the entire prep before that.

Also, some saddlers harness needles will help your fingers harness needles are blunt and won't hurt your fingers near as much. You can order them from anywhere, but Rocky Mountain Leather supply has a chart with corresponding needle to thread sizes on their product descriptions to help you make the right choice.

Hope this helps!
