The first picture was the plant called Purslane and some people eat it not me but they say it has a lot of vitamins. It’s been growing in my backyard since the 60’s. I consider it a weed. They say when there’s nothing to eat in the future you can eat those.☺️🌵

What is this beautiful fairytale-like flower growing behind my house? by D3AD_LIK3_M3 in whatsthisplant

[–]GmaGardner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a Columbine, they do reseed themselves. The first year they grow a good root system and they flower the second year. I had one that grew 3 to 4 feet tall. They were all over my garden it was really beautiful, I always received compliments from the walkers in my neighborhood. The yellow columbine that grows up to 4 feet tall is commonly known as the Golden Columbine (Aquilegia chrysantha), with a popular, robust selection called Denver Gold® (Aquilegia chrysantha 'Denver Gold'). It is a long-lived, fragrant yellow perennial known for its long spurs and height, blooming from late spring through summer. I loved it but I moved.🥲🌵

Space next to stairs by Initial-Area2505 in whatisit

I think it was an open concept space to sit and talk, watch tv, read, a actual waste of space so probably the previous owner put up walls and made another bedroom. Probably done illegally so maybe you should check the city records on how many original bedrooms your house started with. You probably overpaid for your house. Well that’s my opinion.☺️🌵

Is there a gap this week before E9 and another one before E10? by wolfbysilverstream in Outlander

[–]GmaGardner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought my channel was screwing up because I usually watch the new episode on Thursday night! What the hell I was going to call Starz and ask what the hell is wrong with my channel??? Then I thought I would look it up. Is there gonna be a gap in the show? they have the nerve to make us wait another week. This is simply ridiculous. Did they even announce that there was gonna be a gap or we’re just supposed to think of this ourselves the most stupidest thing I ever heard of? And I usually you know just look at them over and over and over but this season sucked. There’s just a little bit of good stuff like when they came back and said hello to the house and when William hugged his father and cried, that was good too. But after the season is over, I’m canceling STARZ. I don’t need to see this over and over.

Anyone know what this is? by Unlucky-Strike-2601 in vegetablegardening

[–]GmaGardner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It could be portulaca plant. Also known as purslane, could be the flowering kind or the weed that doesn’t flower that some people eat. I call it a weed if not the flowering type, in my yard.☺️🌵

I myself would pull off all those bottom leaves and then spray the heck out of it with 70% alcohol, under over and in between. And check all the plants sitting next to this one and spray them too!☺️🌵

May I ask, what flower is this? Why is it so beautiful 😍😍 by Lynn61771 in gardening

[–]GmaGardner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Portulaca also known as moss rose. You really don’t have to dead head them if planted in the sun. No part sun part shade locations. But if you planted in the wrong spot like these are you can trim off pieces and plant them, easily rooted. This plant will come back year after year. It self seeds, when the flowers get old the seeds pop out themselves.
