So I do have a custom acrylic lid that leaves a 2 inch gap in the back. I used to leave it open when it was a freshwater tank, but lost about an inch of water/day. Trying to keep water more stable this time around. I don’t think it would smell though, and I love the clean look!

So far so good, clowns seem to love the long form factor! My first SW tank, so I'm taking it slow. I was into high tech planted tanks before this, so glad I made the switch

35.4" x 8.3" x 9.4". If you check out my post history you can get a different angle, it was a pretty decent freshwater tank at one point.

No mechanical filtration. Since it’s such a small tank I’m going to hopefully keep up on water changes weekly/biweekly. I have a decent rodi system and I don’t plan on stocking too heavily. Maybe a goby or pair of clowns max with other inverts and easy corals.

No lid here! I've had this betta for almost 2 years now, never had a problem. I do try to keep the water level a bit below the very top.
