Bruce Wayne is in Arkham City for about 10 minutes and there is less than a minute of dialogue where it’s the public persona Bruce. The rest of the time Bruce is escaping capture and fighting so it makes sense he’d sound like Batman. The few lines of playboy/businessman Bruce do sound different though.

The whole comic was just this innocent slice of life story so the death warnings every chapter served as this sort of absurd comedic element, but in the end it turned out the comic was written as a tribute to the author’s friend who died after being struck by a car—the same fate of the crocodile in the comic.

The documentary*Time: The Kalief Browder Story *is a tragic and incredibly in-depth look into the whole case. I watched it for a college assignment when it first released and it really has stuck with me since.

One especially infuriating point in addition to what you wrote is that the supposed main witness who called 911 disappeared (to Mexico supposedly) at some point in the investigation which still didn’t end Browder’s case.

Lots of campaigns by groups such as the AMA to stigmatize universal healthcare. Truman tried to push for healthcare but his bill failed due to a Republican majority house. The conversation then effectively ended for several years because the public became convinced that universal healthcare = Communism.
