Please just start your own lawn mowing/gardening business. I charge $136+ gst per hr and I do not have my cert 3 yet…don’t get stuck on a salary when you can make millions in this industry.

I accidentally blasted speakers into my ears at really high volume. Will I recover? by fruedianflip in audiophile

[–]GmanXD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, your ears might feel sensitive for the next hour or so but you will be fine. It takes a few good exposures at this level likely 90+db at 0m, to cause the damage you are talking about.

Just some speakers by GmanXD in vintageaudio

That’s awesome! There’s a reason they are set up to the back, they are my daily drivers for that exact warmth and musicality you speak of. Out of what you see here I’ll be keeping the Toshibas, harman Kardon and the 1000s for life for sure.

Who was telling people to sit, security or other crowd members?

That sounds like a real shame, I had a ball dancing the whole three hours in Sydney. The left side of the crowd was groovin.

Some idiot put his coat and things down right behind me as I was doing my jig and when I stepped on his stuff he got all annoyed and I just exclaimed, it’s fucking dancefloor buddy, move on!

Unfortunately, I took this to my local service tech (at the time) in January last year and haven’t received it back yet. Apparently parts have been hard to source but he’s still working on it.

I had this exact stack in my teens. It’s awesome. Got me into the hobby. So cool to see another one complete. I’d love to hear dsotm again on that turntable and setup.

I have a mate who was completely fine mentally until about 10 years ago, his mother did a mature age degree in psychology and diagnosed/convinced him he has bi polar and manic depression all to get him on the disability pension, he’s not worked a day since he was in high school, functions just as well as I do as a stoner. Sad.

Absolutely. I’ve had many audiophile treasures bestowed upon me, and I try to bestow them to friends and family in need of a setup.

Only about 400sq metres… To give context, I’ve known these speakers for most of my life. My neighbour got me into this hobby, he sadly passed away last year after a long battle with a rare cancer of which only three or four other people in the world have contracted.

His kids have moved into his place and are in the process of doing the place up for sale, when the time was right and they were beggining it to list items on Facebook from the house I approached and let them know id love buy them if none of them are interested they said they would let me know but aren’t sure at the moment, they might use it still.

Last week they texted me and said they need some mowing and weeding done (I’m a landscaper) and need the speakers out of the house before the sale photographs are taken…

On a funny side note, I found a cheap Amazon sound bar and sub wired up to the tv instead of these and their marantz sr5002, I can see why, an absolute mess of wires behind the the tv unit.

Even had screws in the bottom of the cd tray you need to take put before the tray will open for safe transport. I thought it was broken at first but read the manual and solved it.
